Quantumania Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

I love Mama’s Geeky and I’m sure she’s a really great person in real life, but she sometimes tends to fangirl over/overhype things and say things are better than they actually are. For example, she praised the Cowboy Bebop Netflix series, and we all know how that turned out.

So, take her praise with some reservation and keep expectations in check.

She gave the movie 3/5.

Reviews are out and they are mediocre

Harloff has posted his full movie review. 3.9/5 score.

His pal Winston A. Marshall posted a quick review but he seemed to really like it.

Lots of reviewers claim, that the pacing is too fast and it seems, that a lot was cut out.
This is a mistake Marvel makes again and again.
People say short lengths are good, if it fits the storytelling…but it didn’t. It didn’t for MoM and it didn’t for Thor LaT and it, apparently doesn’t fit in Quantumania as well

This movie looked pretty bad visually from the first trailer so I can't say I'm surprised.

Ive seen a number of reviews say the film drags in spots and there's too much exposition
I dont think more run time would've helped here. Just more character work in place of exposition.

Outside of Majors and Pfeiffer, the visuals are the one element getting a lot of praise
Love and Thunder this movie is not

Did you really just search back 7 pages for a "told you so"?

Frankly, the majority of marvel movies are moderately okay to poor. I can count on one hand the ones that are exceptional… and those are usually the more serious, more impactful ones. This movie seems impactful and more serious, so I’m rooting for it.

Well, I'm still looking forward to seeing this on either Thursday or Friday, but man its super disappointing seeing these kinds of reactions when I had such high hopes for this movie.

Marvel has definitely been on a quality decline since after NWH IMO and it shows even though I know plenty of people here really liked Wakanda Forever, but now its even more evident.

Hopefully, I will at least enjoy more than the last movie.

I already have my tickets for Saturday so still looking forward to it! Besides, Black Adam was also rotten but I still had fun with it! Lol

Me too man and I still have no regrets about it either. That movie had its fair share of problems for sure, but I still had a blast with it and Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate made it worth watching alone IMO.
