Quantumania Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Are the reactions (from legit reviewers) really that negative so far? I have seen mainly decent to positive for a handful of them. Though reactions are not hyperventilating, I wouldn’t say it’s definitely rotten so far. Maybe somewhere in the 60-70 to further give fuel to narratives that Marvel is dead.

Still don’t see reactions as mixed as Thor 4. Even that much derided movie managed to retain a fresh RT score and no8 global box office in 2022 (with China it would be no7 only $10m stands between it and Batman).

What other people say about a movie on twitters and websites is only as good as talking points, nothing more. The MCU movie with worst critics reviews is in my top tier preference. The real test is how people actually vote with their money when it comes out, which could have some very real tangible consequences if it fails to perform at least decently.

The common theme seems to be about Majors being great and the movie giving sci-fi and Star Wars vibes, which is great IMO. But overall, the reactions do seem to be mixed.

The Reel Rejects didn't like it, which kinda sucks, but besides them, I like what I'm hearing.

"Craziest Marvel Movie Yet!" and lots of generic half-praises.

After watching that Harloff video, am I the only one who thinks I may have watched too many of the tv spots and trailers? That I should've left more stuff, like MODOK for example unseen?

Love and Thunder is in my top 3 of MCU movies. And Wakanda Forever was better than its predecessor. On February 17, I'll be headed to the theater like:

Totally agree about Love & Thunder but I gotta raise my eyebrow on Wakanda Forever.

It had moments, but what a huge step down from the first film. It felt less like a movie, and more like a Marvel checklist. Long, unfocused with undeveloped characters that are only added for the future MCU machine (Ironheart, Martin Freeman and Julia Louis Dreyfus). And the CGI problems all these past few Marvel films have had. Remove those plots and it might have been better.

But anyway, this ain’t the thread. I just feel like Ant-Man might be the same problems the last few films/tv have had. Unfocused.

At least Majors as Kang is getting good marks. I'm the most excited for him.

Considering how Corey Stoll was nothing really to write home about in Ant-Man, and how Ant-Man and the Wasp absolutely wasted Walton Goggins, the third film needed to take advantage of whoever they got for the villain. At least this time, looks like they did.

I never trust opening night reviews. Everyone is a fan boy and high off of seeing it first.

The movie is not good, I mean its not Thor 4 levels of sheezle, but not good either and yes Jonathan Majors is it's only saving grace.

I'll probably love it then. You mind spoiling the end credit scenes for me, please???
