Anyone else concerned that TIH is taking place in NYC?

I would just take into consideration the point being made by Mr Fantastic Himself

So yep, the Hulk or any other heroes could do a bit of moving around, that'll be nice for a change...

one thing quit disappointing when watching a blockbuster movie where the world's at stake, 99% of the time, the crisis appears and is being solved in the US (New York or Washington most of times), and it's quite sad for all the people who have no particular connections, a bit hard to relate when "every human being is supposed to be doomed" but we'll it's not really happening there, or it is, but it's a just a 1 minute report news...

Anyway, like Reed said,

Spread the Wealth,
Every single city deserve its Hilk Rampage :woot:

I agree with what you guys are saying. If I had to guess as to why NY is always chosen, I would assume it's because it's Marvel's headquarters. Not to mention the fact that Big Stan is quite proud of New York.
At least we know why they choose NYC. As you stated already, It's Marvels home and who isn't proud of the place where they are from? I'm pretty sure had the movie been filmed in your home town it would have been cool for you. Its a matter of opinion and IMO NYC is just fine for PART of the movie. The majority is not in NYC. BTW, I'm from NYC and the Hulk is my favorite Marvel hero, so the combo is awesome for me. I see landmarks Im familiar with and find it cool.

Westchester is NOT upstate New York. What a slap in the face. It's the suburbs of New York City, it borders the freakin' Bronx. ;)
Westchester is technically going UPSTATE, but is considered a county. Its is huge so the two get confused. The suburbs are not the city. What borders the Bronx is Yonkers and Bronxville, NY which leads into Westchester county. And its not the freakin Bronx, its just simply the Bronx, NY.

Go play the PlayStation game Hulk Ultimate Destruction and then get back to me on what makes the coolest Hulk rampage -- the desert or the big city. :cwink:

NYC should have been the first choice, not San Fran, I don't care where it takes place in the comics. The abandonded military base breakout works, but Hulk should have ended up in a city with far more mass destruction potential.

Earthquakes do San Francisco, the Hulk does Manhattan! :hyper:
They don't understand and maybe ever will. STAN LEE IS FROM NEW YORK!!!! and when he created most of his characters in 1962, his city was his platform, period. If you want to get technical, the Hulk should be ALL OVER. He travels, nomad style to different places.
