I played, it was ok. COH was waaay better but even that's boring now.

Diablo II rocks, but I've outplayed it by now. I think a third is in the works as we speak.

I also can't wait for UT2007... Or UT3 as it's now called.

My wife and I play together all the time. It helps being able to double up on cash and inventory space and its more fun when you're sat right next to eachother. It hasn't got old and we've been at it since the game came out.

OMG! I killed 11 rats and got the flimsy sword!

OMG! I used the flimsy sword to kill 20 giant beetles and I got the WORN sword!

OMG! I used the worn sword to kill 30 flying badgers and I got the SHARP sword.

OMG! Now I can join a group and go to the ***** Gums Caverns!

OMG! After 45 hours in ***** Gum, I finally got my whole suit of Porcelain Armor

OMG! Now we can go on a raid and kill the Spider Queen!

OMG! Everybody died 18 times because half the group are morons and the good players all had to go 'cause their wives are yelling at them to get offline!

OMG! How am I gonna get my body back?

I think they're getting better and better. The GMs are forkin over more cash for better servers and what not

If they'd make one where you truly did not have to be in a group to lvl up then I might try it again.

But there are all these that say they cater to both group-minded and solo players and it's never true.

I played Asheron's Call, Everquest, Everquest 2, Anarchy Online, Shadowbane, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, Final Fantasy, Lineage and City of Heroes from 1998? to as recently as 2005 and out of all the group experiences I had like EIGHT really good times, lol.

I guess I'm too picky as to who I'm playing with but I'd prefer to roam around on my own and then SHOULD I happen to run across someone cool, group up if it's doable, and then not have to depend on a stranger's schedule to group up again.


My roommate is still obsessed with Shadowbane and he's like a leader-type and he mainly just sits there on Ventrilo working out the petty Soap Opera bull**** bickering between his followers.

Well now they're letting you be a Jedi from the start. Pretty much crapping on all the people who worked for it over the years.

Warcraft is an amazing game, I had the 14-day trial, but Im not going to pay for it no matter how good it is....

No way.
I had 50 billion times more fun on a month's worth of Asheron's Call or Everquest (back when the phenomenon was new and exciting) than I would going to see one 2 hour movie at the theater and getting a small popcorn and a small drink...and it's the same price.

Totally worth it, if you're into playing against and with real people instead of pre-scripted enemies/allies.
