Anyone think the FF2 will be better Spiderman 3?

I've observed the FF2 trailers(especially the new Tv spot, which was awesome)and I must say, this will be great. Than I thought, what if this film is better than Spiderman 3? The plot has a balanced central story and the Surfer looks nicee!


Anyone think FF2 has a good chance of reaching or nearing Spiderman 3's box office gross? Or will be better than Spiderman 3?

This film will never reach SM3's box office gross man, sorry to disappoint you. That's impossible to happen. SM3 is looking to be #1 at box office, something even Sparrow is having difficulty fighting for.

Will this film be better? I don't know. I loved SM3 and I am sure I will love FF2. These movies make me feel like a kid again, but personally I think it will always be SM3 for me- due to being a Venom fan and the nostalgia that film brings for me personally.

I've already enjoyed the trailers and ads for FF2 more than the entirety of Spiderman 3, which I found to be an incoherent mess.
Bigger box office? No way.
Better movie, though? Maybe...a Big maybe.
Better than FF1? Almost a certainty.

I don't know about better but I'm thinking it'll be as good as. I adored Spidey 3, saw it 3 times and it just got better every time. I'm allready under the belief that I'm gonna love FF:ROTSS though. This summer's superhero's are(have) gonna make up for last years abysmal(sp?) x-men film.

A bigger BO, no. But I think it could be better than spidey 3 for me. I was very dissapointed in Spidey 3 so as long as FF2 just lives up to my expectations, then it will be better.

It has as good a chance of topping SM3 BO as it does for winning 6 oscars. Could it be better in quality then SM3? Possibly, but that's hard to measure since everyone has different preferences.

Same here, I loved Spider-Man 3. I don't think it's fair to compare the two. I'm just hoping FF2 improves exponentially over FF1 and that it's a good movie. That'll be enough for me.

Silver Surfer is the only reason I'm seeing this film, from what I've seen of FF2, especially Alba, Reed Richards and the guy from Charmed, they're still horrible and goofy ass actors. Silver Surfer looks great, I can't wait until they make a Silver Surfer movie. And when they do, I'll probably never watch another FF movie again--at least not with this cast. Silver Surfer is the movie that I want see.

Did I ever tell you how much I love the Silver Surfer, best alien character ever created? That's right, I said EVER!...along with Galactus of course.

Well think about this Sequels most of time are usaul the best lof the bunch like Spider-man 2 Was really good and people say it was the best superhero film ever and X-men 2 was the best x-men film but you never know.

It's possible that some may find the film more satisfying than SM3 contentwise. But I doubt that this particular franchise will match SM3's numbers. I mean...no CBM franchise has done that so far.

The movie looks like it's going to be more fun than Spidey 3.
Spidey 3 had good moments but overall it was a crying fest with a lame ending and the FX were not that great.

FF2 doesn't have a chance in hell to beat it at the Box Office.
FF2 was definitely not made for the same money that Spidey 3 was, but the trailers alone beat out the entire Spidey 3 movie.

It's kind of an apples-to-oranges comparison, IMO. While I've always found the Spider-Man movies to be grossly overrated and somewhat unsatisfying, I did feel a sense of connection to the characters by the end of the trilogy. So even though SM3 was kind of a crapfest, it did get me on some sort of emotional level. I don't really have that kind of connection to the FF movies, partly because there's only been one and partially because I didn't care much for the first one. So I'm going in to this movie expecting much, much less. I'm looking for to a fun, action-packed thrillride with FF2, whereas I was looking for closure to a long-running story in SM3.

My point? I don't know.

Extremely doubtful. The sitcom style acting (Or in the case of Alba, no acting at all). The lack of imagination going into the scenes, add up to not much in the way of content. And let's not forget that what's been shown doesn't say one way or the other as to the strength of the script and story itself, which seems suspect, due to what's been seen and Fox & Story's track record.

Spidey 3 was a mess. But it had alot of brilliance to it as well. I see little of that here other than the Surfer being a nice looking bit of CGI.

I think I'll definitely walk away *less* disappointed with FF2 than I was with Spiderman 3. I was really, REALLY let down by Spiderman 3. I'm walking into FF2 expecting to be entertained but not necessarily blown away. We'll see what happens.

I think it's like asking whether the food from Taco Bell will be better than from a Mexican restaurant. Whether it's good or bad really just depends on what you think you're getting in the first place - fast, fatty, indulgent fast food... or well-prepared international cuisine.

I thought 'X-Men 3' sucked and I loved 'Fantastic Four'... but, taken together, X3 is probably the better film. I just didn't like it 'cus I thought I was getting cuisine.

In other words, I doubt 'Fantastic Four 2' will be a better film than 'Spider-Man 3'... but I dare say it'll be a far less disappointing if you realise the franchise is akin to fun, sugary fast food.
