No, I don't. I like it.

Okay, I admit that it ain't the most covering of outfits, but when has it been drawn like a thong?
It's not so much a thong, more like a really bad wedgie.:D Michael Turner does it alot.

Well, I've always hated how Turner draws Wonder Woman anyway.

Well that's just one example, lots of artists do it.

**** for so long I am away from the world of DC:mad:  . Well now I am back but.....which costume is aquaman currently wearing...the regal beard or the disgusting fish shirt?

And another question....is hawkgirl part of the big seven only in JLU series or also in the comics?

Which version, the animated one or the current in the books?

His animated version is the one below.

As for what he's wearing currently in the books, that would be the fish shirt. But make note, if you're just getting back into what's going on in DC there's an event effecting the whole DCU called One Year Later. It's basically about the heroes of the DCU skipping ahead one year, and what happend in the missing year will be explained in a weekly title called 52. So the Aquaman we all know now has been missing, and he's been replaced by a man named Arthur Joseph Curry.

She isn't in the comics.

The bearded pirate look was DC's attempt to make Aquaman less cheesy. It didn't work.

Combined with the voice-casting, I think they pulled off a much more "serious" Aquaman.

Yeah, she is. She's just not in the Justice League.

He's talking about the big seven that's in the Justice League like in the comics, she's only in the JLU series. Hawkgirl has been in the JLA before, but has mainly served in the JSA along with Hawman.

Wow, I'm surprised this guy is asking if those are two differnt people.

Strippers that go to parties don't have poles, she looks that kind of stripper.

When she starts grinding into the air, then that will scream stripper :o

Hawkgirl is only part of the big seven in the show. In the comics the big seven has Aquaman instead of Hawkgirl.

Didn't DC retcon that to only having Hawkman serving the Justice League with Identity Crisis (JLA portrait lacked Hawkgirl)

Isn't there a an original eight in the comics?

  1. Superman
  2. Batman
  3. WonderWoman
  4. Martian Manhunter
  5. Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner)
  6. Aquaman
  7. The Flash
  8. Plastic Man
Oh, and what the **** is up with Plastic Man? I mean, he totally drags down the team in my eyes. To me, it's like allying Batman and his crew with a wacky hero like The Creeper (ok, he is mostly a Gotham hero, but he is not part of the Bat-Crew.) Nothing against The Creeper, though. It makes me wonder why people prefer to hate on Aquaman rather than Plastic Man.

My only question is that when you say originial do you mean the very first Justice League? I'm just curious cause if you did mean that then the list would be off since Hal Jordan started the league I believe.

But if you were not talking about the very first league then whatever lol.

I believe that you are talking about the JSA. In any case, I'm talking about the JLA with 8 founding members.

Actually Shiera didn't serve much time in the JSA. Mostly it was all retconed in. Shiera had a longer tenure in the Justice League during the late 60's and early to mid 70's.

No, Plastic Man was not a founding member of the previous incarnation of the Justice League. The founding members were Superman, Batman, Diana, Kyle Rayner, Wally West, Orin, and the Martian Manhunter. Plastic Man was added in after the Justice League expanded heavily after accusations of elitism. Thus members such as Plastic Man, Steel, Oracle, the Huntress, Orion, Big Barda, Connor Hawke, Tommorrow Woman, and Zauriel were added into the Justice League (all except Plastic Man eventually left for various reasons).

Plastic Man was added into the Justice League on the recommendation of Batman because of his resistance to the Martian Manhunter's telepathic abilities.

The original Justice League of America was founded by Dinah Lance (Black Canary), Orin (Aquaman), Barry Allen (the Flash), Hal Jordan (Green Lantern), and the Martian Manhunter. Later members included Bruce Wayne (Batman), Superman, Oliver Queen (Green Arrow), Ray Palmer (the Atom), Ronnie Raymonnd (Firestorm), Carter Hall (Hawkman), Zatanna, Red Tornado and the Elongated Man. This version of the Justice League is currently disbanded.

Later the Justice League International came about founded by Bruce Wayne (Batman), Ted Kord (Blue Beetle), Captain Marvel, Dinah Lance (Black Canary), Guy Gardner (Green Lantern/Warrior), Kimyo Hoishi (Dr. Light), the Martian Manhunter, Eric & Linda Strauss (Dr. Fate), Booster Gold, Scott Free (Mister Miracle), and Big Barda. This version of the Justice League later included Fire, Ice, Dimitri Pushkin (Rocket Red), Captain Atom, Obsidian, General Glory, Rey Terrill (the Ray), Maya, Lightray, Orion, Fel Andar (Hawkman), Maxima, Bloodwynd, Nuklon, Blue Devil, and Metamorpho. An even bigger expansion of this version divided the Justice League International into:
Justice League America, which mostly consisted of members of the Justice League International before being divided
Justice League Europe, which consisted of Wally West (the Flash), Animal Man, Hal Jordan (Green Lantern), Orin (Aquaman), Diana (Wonder Woman), Power Girl, Elongated Man, Tasmanian Devil, Blue Jay, Will Everett III (Amazing Man), Vivian d'Aramis (Crimson Fox), and Constance d'Aramis (Crimson Fox)
Justice League Antartica, which consisted of Major Disaster, G'nort (Green Lantern), Cluemaster, Big Sir, Scarlet Skier, Clock King, Mighty Bruce, and Multi-Man
Justice League Task Force, which consisted of the Martian Manhunter, Gypsy, Ray Terrill (the Ray), and the rest of the team had rotating members.
This team eventually stepped down for the next variation of the Justice League after almost everyone quit and several of the factions disbanded.

A another version of the Justice League of America was formed and was founded by Superman, Bruce Wayne (Batman), Diana (Wonder Woman), Wally West (the Flash), Kyle Rayner (Green Lantern), Orin (Aquaman), and the Martian Manhunter. More members were added to the team after accusations of elitism and the team expanded to include Big Barda, Plastic Man, Tommorrow Woman, Orion, Connor Hawke (Green Arrow), Oracle, John Henry Irons (Steel), Aztek, Zauriel, Hippolyta (Wonder Woman), Artemis (Wonder Woman), Faith, Major Disaster, John Stewart (Green Lantern), Jason Blood, Manitou Raven, Nightwing, Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) Ronnie Raymond (Firestorm), Kendra Saunders (Hawkgirl), Matthew Tyler (Hourman), Anateus, and Ray Palmer (the Atom). Almost all of the members who were not founding members of this incarnation of the Justice League eventually left for various reasons. This incarnation of the Justice League developed the:
JLA Reserves, which included almost every member of the previous incarnations of the Justice League, honorary members, and members which eventually quit from this incarnation.
Justice League Elite, which consisted of Vera Black/Sister Superior, Coldcast, Cassandra Cain (Batgirl/Katsumi), Naif al-Sheikh, Major Disaster, Manitou Raven, Manitou Dawn, Wally West (the Flash, Oliver Queen (Green Arrow), and Sonja (Menagerie) this team carried the black operations of the Justice League which would sully their name if they performed the task.
The sins of the original Justice League of America would cause this team to disband in shame. An attempt to reform the Justice League came about shortly after but failed due to do so due to various reasons consisted of: Oliver Queen (Green Arrow), John Stewart (Green Lantern), Dinah Lance (Black Canary), Orin (Aquaman), Red Tornado, Kara Zor-El (Supergirl), Manitou Dawn, and Wally West (the Flash).

A new version of the Justice League of America will come about this summer. The only members confirmed to join are Bruce Wayne (Batman), Superman, and Diana (Wonder Woman). The rest of the members are up for speculation.

Hasn't Hawkgirl's time with the JLA been completely retconned out?
