I am still friends with JAL on Facebook. He's matured a lot, I think. I miss Gilpesh, Wiseman and Ace Of Knaves. I also miss that weird chick who tattood Drakons name on her lower lip or whatevr she did. Could never remember her name, she was just bat sht crazy

I miss Andy Dufresne.

Not long after the Mods deprived us of his company, I got a postcard in the mail. It was blank, but the postmark said Fort Hancock, Texas. Fort Hancock... right on the border. That's where Andy crossed. When I picture him heading south in his own car with the top down, it always makes me laugh. Andy Dufresne... who crawled through a river of Batman boards sh** and came out clean on the other side. Andy Dufresne... headed for the Pacific.

I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend.

I feel the same way about a lot of guys. Sure they were entertaining but at the same time they were annoying.

I usually get banned on forums for having an unpopular opinion. I get attacked en masse because everybody wants to jump on the bandwagon to persecute the outsider/the heretic. Then if I decide to fight back, I get accused of trolling despite the massive amount of troll posts made against me (easier to ban one person than lots of people). Happened to me heaps of times.

May as well start retroactively missing me now...

If you "usually get banned on forums" have you considered that maybe the problem isn't with the forums? Maybe the problem is with you.

It isn't that your opinion is unpopular. I criticize Nolan's films too sometimes. Its that you try to validate your opinion with horrible arguments, like calling 6 or 7 DC comic book authors sycophants and making up rules of logic that don't exist. And then when someone very clearly demonstrates to you why that argument doesn't fly, you go "whatever man, its just my opinion... you can't disprove opinions."

You're not some sort of martyr. You're just a guy who repeats the same opinion over and over with really bad arguments. (Which may or may not be trolling, but I'll leave that to others to decide for themselves.
