The deadline for the application is the 18th November... but just about a week before, the system tends to crash as there is a sudden influx of applicants (competition is fierce). Plus the earlier the better I always say.

One secretary in the faculty told me she thinks she is on study leave, however another claims she is not.

Phoned her office twice today and no answer.

I'm thinking of emailing another of my english lecturers but it feels intrusive. It is however, part of their job description I'm told.

I would email someone else. If it is uncertain if she's even there, I wouldn't risk it - better to have your second choice do it than not have it at all!
