That's kind of where I'm at.In the sense of making critically successful movies? No.
But in giving us the most comically accurate Batman we've ever seen, a thousand times yes. And at the end of the day thats all that matters to me.
Thanks as always pickle.Pretty dumb question to be honest
Can't do anything early for fun, cause it's dumb... sigh
Its a cool discussion to have honestly, we don't seem to be getting any news as of late so I don't really see the harm in it.
Its a message board, these kinds of topics/discussions are exactly why we have it.
Pretty dumb question to be honest
My original post was too harsh, Im not seeing how a question where all answers are based on nothing is a good question but Ill just stay out.
In the sense of making critically successful movies? Probably not, a lot of people already have predetermined opinions regarding the DCCU and theres no changing their minds.
But in terms of giving us the most comically accurate Batman we've ever seen, a thousand times yes. And at the end of the day thats all that matters to me.
It's a good question.
I think visually, the comic book accuracy, the similarities to animation, will be there. The suit, even the look of Gotham, will surpass Nolan/Bale.
But as Chip Chipperson says a comic book accurate Batman is the most important thing to him...that's usually not how i operate. Seeing a good movie is the main thing for me. But i have my trilogy, and i dont think Batman v Superman or any Justice League can touch those films. I prefer Batman in a stand-alone situation. So will Affleck act better as Bruce than Bale? I dont think he will but im confident he'll do a great job anyhow. And he'll look even more like the character.
When a Batman solo film comes out, that's when ill get excited about seeing a fantastic movie, with hopefully better actors all around. But for now, i have to side with that "comic accuracy" mindset. I dont expect great things with Snyder, so im going into this just wanting a comic book accurate Batman. If i get that, ill be happy. If the movie is good or sucks, it won't matter that much to me because i got to see the Batman i wanted to see.
Will Affleck be a better Batman than Bale? Either A) i won't be able to answer that until he does his solo film or B) it will be so different that i can't compare. Because Bale's was set in a real world, so elements of character had to be toned down naturally. Batfleck is more like our world in some futuristic timeline with less rules. It's almost a battle between Bat-Man and Bat-God.
90 percent? That's quite a stretch i might say. Also, you can't just say Bale would have been greater if he was under another directors vision, because Christian would not have done this without him in the first place.I am totally confident in Snyder and Affleck. I think Bale could have been a killer Batman. Sadly for me Nolan's vision removed 90% of what makes Batman awesome.
