Are you happy with Marvel Comics, right now?

Yes. A little too happy if you ask my wallet. :csad:

It is those dang Marvel Adventures so dang addicting.

I do feel that they give there new characters a rough deal. It seems that they no matter how great a new young character is they can't seem to get a toehold in 616 and end up being cannon fodder. It's like they are seen as a threat to the older characters.

I like Marvels Ultimate series. It's just a nice twist on things to keep me interested on the characters that have been around for years :)

I liked OMD, but i was really..really ticked off at the ending
Loving my punisher, deadpool,thor,she-hulk..i still wanna see thor- and tony stark have thier lil confrontation..thor's not done with his punk arse

Wow, I think that just officially made your opinion moot on all things. Not even the BND supporters have been bold enough to voice OMD support.

Well, he said he didn't like the end, which is the part that everyone else has had problems with.
I think Thor's done hitting Tony. they just have a lot to talk about.
Yeah, I think they're just gonna have a talk. Tony'll probably throw down a white flag before he even approaches Thor again, just to save himself another beating.

You didn't find all the parts odd and off putting? From the first with the ridiculous hey-uncle-tony-can-I-borrow-money to the group pete goes to for help, none of it in any way seemed to fit the characters being written about.

I doubt Thor will beat Tony down again. He made his point and Thor's not a dick. Plus he's been Tony's friend and teammate in the past, it's gonna be trying in the future, but I doubt they'll be coming close to blows in the near future unless something else happens.

Well, yeah, I did find what I read of OMD pretty awkward. That's why I quit reading it after two issues.

I don't think Tony and Thor will fight again. I do kind of wish, in the back of my mind, that I could see Tony come back with some super-efficient energy regulating armor to prevent Thor from frying him with lightning again... only to have Thor just switch tactics and beat the crap out of him with his bare hands. Thor's got almost every power advantage over Tony. :D

That would be cool. I'm kinda getting tired of everyone using the EMP/Electric backlash thing to take Tony out, especially since we know he's adapted past that. I'd have liked the issue better if it played out like you stated.

Well, it wasn't really an EMP the way I read it. Tony's armor, for all its advanced tech, is still made of conductive metal and circuitry. Apply enough heat via lightning and circuits fuse, rendering them inoperable and the armor useless. Thor simply overloaded the armor the way I read it.

No, that was exactely the thing. I was just saying the strategy of let's blast Tony with an EMP wave (where the hell does everyone get this stuff anyway?) or let's overload his tech with electricity has been extremely played out and we've all seen Tony deal with this stuff in the past effectively. (He's fairly immune to EMP now and he can absorb and rechannel energy to keep from being overloaded). I just once would like to see someone just fight Iron Man without these easy outs. I'm not saying I didn't like the issue, I just would have liked it to play out a bit differently.

I didn't have a problem with it. Rechanneling energy is fine, but there's still a limit on the rate at which he can do so. Thor's the god of thunder. He can pour on as much lightning as he wants--easily more than Tony can handle effectively. It's a question of man vs. deity at its core, and deity wins every time, in my opinion.

I see where you're coming from. I just didn't want the concept recycled again. Like you said earlier, it would have been so much cooler (and stated the point better) for Thor to smack Tony around with his bare hands.

I'd rather see Thor drop Mjolnir on top of Tony's chest and leave him/it there :o

Haha, I never thought of that. That would be hilarious if he just rammed it into Tony's chest, knocking him over, and then left it there while calmly pacing around Tony. "I will speak. You will listen." :D

LOL

"Uh Thor?"

"Yes friend Tony?"

"Could you move this so I can get up?"

"I think not - you have yet to understand the difference between thee, thou, and a God."

I'm not happy how Marvel made Iron Man the #1 most hated character.

I'd pay top dollar to read that issue :p

I don't hate him. I actually like Iron Man a lot more now than I used to. If he fights Thor, however, he should rightly lose. Thor's just way out of his league.
