Yeah but Arnold is way bigger than Dench and so him appearing in a big role even as a new character in a complete reboot would be confusing or weird with people just wanting a sequel if he's being involved

Well I am of the school If they aren't doing a sequel arnold shouldn't be
Involved.Reboots should completly divorce themselves from people part of
originals.

Even If Arnold Is playing the terminator the trek compession can't be made since
A:They may be changing the lore If Kyle reece Is in film and yet arnold Is suspose to be protecting Sarah Connor as has been mentioned and B:I seriously doudt the film Isn't set In present day and not 1980's.

Maybe, but in the PR's it never seems to mention that it seems. I may be wrong but the official statements have never really talked of that it seems.

I was hoping Arnold would play a new character that would be the man behind the original human template for the T-800's but then after thinking about it it wouldn't make much sense unless he plays that new character AND the Terminator,IF they are showing Arnold's Terminator as the main one then they'd have to do like they did for Salvation..but for the whole film and IF that's the case then might as well just digitally put Arnold's T2 or 3's face on his current body

IF this is like Star Trek 09 then they could have the reason for old Arnold being that the old timeline got messed up with a new one where the T-800 appears as an older man

Well I'll wait then lol. Though they will start filming this really soon, SW has until December 2015, Terminator has until late June of 2015 to be done. So actually we will probably be hearing more stuff on Terminator before SW. SW was kept quiet because of the delay, near next year SW news will start to come out as well.

It’s official. Emilia Clarke will play Sarah Connor in the Terminator reboot, re-teaming with director Alan Taylor, who has worked with Clarke in the HBO series Game Of Thrones. Clarke joins Jason Clarke, who is in negotiations to play her son John Connor in a storyline I’ve heard involved a trip into the future. Deadline revealed that he was in talks earlier this week. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back in his signature cyborg role.

That's the only thing that just really makes me go......ehhhh. Arnold back as the T-800? He looked shabby in parts of T3 and that was filmed 14 years ago. I wonder if they are going with some super special make up or something. I'm really interested to see what they do with him.

I'm getting interested, but I'm still highly cautious. The first two films are two of my all time favourites, since then the franchise has been very meh.

Well I'll disagree with that, I don't think Brie has "it". I think Emila has a lot more going for her. I also heard she did well on Broadway as well but sadly I don't live in NY lol.

I like Emila Clarke. But there is nothing about her that invokes Sarah Connor to me, and she isn't exactly the kind of talent that will be able to push through that with sheer skill.

Larson reminds me of Connor, while also being a pretty amazing young actress. There is a reason Short Term 12 has gotten her a lot of awards buzz. It is far away stronger work then anything Clarke has done.

Also, Sarah Connor is now tiny and unless Clarke goes on some crazy routne, I can't exactly see her being "dangerous" in future installments. Larson is 5'7 .

The big question Is how Is kyle reece being worked In if arnold's terminator Is sent back to protect Sarah Connor.It defently opens the door to them
changing Reece from soldier sent from future who ends up as John Connor's father to Sarah's love intrest In "Present" who becomes John's father.

I can easily see her being dangerous. I'll just have to again disagree. I'm not saying Brie is not a good actress, but I think Emilia has lots to offer. She has not done much but I still think she is an amazing actress that has that vulnerability that can grow into fierce strength. And height? Really? Lol. That does not matter on film, they can make a normal sized person a Dwarf in LOTR they can make her look a few inches taller with boots lol. I think Clarke just has tons of potential, and is already a strong actress. And acting is what really what will bring it out. They had reason to go with her, and I'm sure it was good.
