I really hope those two are not the only contenders left for Reese. Having seen Courtney performance in other films, he does not strike me as Reese at all - could be a good Terminator though. I had to look up Holbrook since he is unfamiliar to me. While he resembles Biehn better than Courtney, he does not seem to have the essence of Reese from the images I have seen.
I'm unimpressed with the casting of the film so far, so Reese's pick has to really wow me. It is going to be hard since Biehn was just perfect in the role and Reese is one of my favorite film characters ever.
It was one of the reasons, though.
The Terminator is one of my favourite movies so I'm going to have a hard time enjoying this one.
It's from the director of T:TDW, if it's as bad as that movie was it will be an easy decision for me.
Then again, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles was excellent.
I still think it's a reboot along the lines of the JJ's Star Trek. Different continuity but not a hard reboot.
Though Taylor is a better director than McG.
In fairness Taylor made it clear he wasnt happy with how that film turned out. I dont think he will be working with Marvel as he mentions a few times they forced him to put certain stuff in.
Its why I am willing to give him a chance on the new Terminator, well that and his work on GoT.
The Terminator and Aliens are my two favourite movies ever (I can literally act the whole of T1 out on my own without missing a line I have watched it that many times), but, like the Robocop re-boot I am willing to give it a chance and hope it is good.
He also has a less obnoxious name: "Alan".
TS wasn't a ST09 reboot. TS was more of a Superman Returns type of deal. And it got the same general response from me.
T3 though had a number of issues, and I really think it's due to its director.
The story's fine though the TX felt contrived. Not because she's a woman, but more on her powers. It felt like they struggled to make her a threat despite the greatness of the almost invisible T-100.
Also the humor wasn't as clever as T2. AT all. Talk to the hand was already dated by 2003.

Spot on.Yeah, and it's not the good kind of cheese either.
The humor borderlines farce. Also, Arnold's acting as the T-800 was a bit off. Maybe it was due to his age but I think it's just too much his own self-awareness to the role. Kinda like Depp with Jack Sparrow in the Pirates sequels.
