Saw this movie yesterday. Pretty fun but make no mistake. It's celebrates all the things action films devoid of character development and substance and bad acting are belittled for.

Go in expecting that and you may enjoy it.

To be fair thats exactly what I am expecting, so I cant wait. Seems the movie critics were expecting that as well judging by the good reviews.

Consider me disappointed. This is a safe and perfunctory action movie. It doesn't have the craziness, OTT cheesiness, and violent mayhem I'm expecting from the star and the director. It has those moments, but they are too few. It's still fun and alright (especially during the 3rd act, but boring for the most part), but it's a letdown considering the talent involved. This ain't no Commando and even True Lies. This is just a warm-up for Arnold's hopefully bigger and better violent action movies in the future: Conan and Ten.

Grade: 6.5/10

Horror movies will always beat out anything else in slow months.

Wow nobody's seeing this? It's being projected to finish 10th for the weekend. I thought the decent reviews and this being his comeback would have attracted more people?

Signs that Arnold can no longer open non-franchised action films?

I just got back from seeing it, and boy I had a blast. Go expecting an 80's movie and that's what you are going to get. Even Knocksville was fun to watch and I couldn't care less for the actor.

Told you guys Schwarzenegger's drawing power is shot.

Everyone already forgotten what a joke his career was becoming before T3 with all those duds? And T3 only made like $150 million in the US.

A lot of people care about his age too much and seem to be over him and are all about the current&future,Plus back then action films were mostly about just badass characters and over the top mindless action But now people care about story/acting/character development even in films in the action& horror genres.

I don't give a damn about his age and still want him to do action films even in his old school style..But that's just how the average movie goers are now a days.

Asia will probably save this movie's ass a la Expendables 2.

It's a shame, but Guillermo Del Toro having a hit to his name this weekend is more important than Arnold having one at this point.

I also find it very interesting that Jason Statham might now be a bigger draw than Arnold.

It just feels like this these type of action movies don't appeal to the GA anymore the way they did back in the 80s and 90s. Excluding the Expendables which obviously had other factors in its favor.

People seem to be more in the fantasy/adventure action films such as superhero/comic, Pirates, etc.

I wouldn't go that far. I just think the audiences these kinds of films cater to would rather watch it at home.

Yeah, it seems every decade has its flavor.

I know in the late 90s/early 00s I wasn't really into some of Arnold's movies like The 6th Day. I love T2! Conan, Commando, Running Man are some of my favorites as well. I'm curious about The Last Stand, though.

Statham is today's action hero. They showed a trailer for his new movie (Parker) and dudes were mumbling about it.

I thought it was awesome seeing old Arnie kick ass. It's a lot of fun if your into his films and he still has the screen presence. Some of the action is impalusible, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. I thought Johnny Knoxville's character would be too over the top and annoying , but he had me laughing and the supporting cast were all likeable characters. Also thought it was good to see old people not taking crap from anyone. Especially the old lady that dealt with a tresspasser.

It's a shame this thing bombed. Hopefully after this hits dvd people will start to be interested in Arnie again.

LOL for a movie he barely had anything to do with! He only served as executive producer and "presents" Mama. I'm sure he helped it get financed or whatever, but let's not pretend. He didn't write, direct, or produce Mama.

Yeah, since The Stath has action covered (Not to mention Mark Wahlberg), maybe Arnold should move to horror?

I'm hoping some of these money marks that are putting together Conan 3, Terminator 5, or whatever take a long look at their situation and see if they really want to sink all this money into these projects and go all in.

His name was all over the marketing. That's what matters.

Or how about you just don't watch those films and let the people who want to go see them?

IF"The Tomb"overall fails like Expendables 1&2/The Last Stand and maybe Sly's Bullet to the Head then they will have to consider hanging up their guns for good.

Arnold's last chance is Conan and IF he returns for Terminator 5,IF both fail then that's it for him,Would be a shame:(

Will be interesting how Willis's Die Hard 5 dies!

How did The Expendables movies fail? Sure they weren't 'good' movies by any stretch of the imagination, but they made money.
