Happening now and they're already blowing people out. Plot pretty much like the beginning of TDK with Batman inspiring vigilantes.

Season 1: Arrow Begins - Batman Begins
Season 2: The Arrow: The Dark Knight
Season 3: The Arrow Returns Again - The Dark Knight Returns

This really does feel more like the DC universe than before with all the costumed people popping up now. And Oliver on a no-killing policy now.

Oh snap, they are gonna start calling him Green Arrow now.

Pretty good episode 7/10 range.....they just couldn't say it at the end there lol

I really enjoyed this episode...good to have Arrow back!

7/10 for me. Yep, pretty entertaining, but the plot was too predictable. And they seriously need to tone down the cheesy dialogue.

They mentioned star labs!

Black Canary looked too much like China White that it kind of ruined the moment.

Great season premiere of Arrow with the debuts of Isabel Rochev and a Black Canary, who I can see be a match for China White. Yes, Oliver is moving forward towards being the hero we know from the mythos. I don't expect him to be called Green Arrow yet, but I can see Arrow for now.

The ex detective looked happy after he told him that he was trying a new way

Agreed

Overall,I thought it was very good.It started out pretty weak,IMO,but finished strong.

The beginning on the island was alright, but it lacked the "weight" that I thought a return to the island should've had.It seemed like a simple device to show the progression of time.I honestly don't see why the series time has to keep pace with "real" time. They could've set the episode 3 weeks after instead of several months.

The Thea/Moira stuff...*sigh*...the more things change, the more they remain the same.At least they got through it quickly. But I'm already dreading the Moira in jail subplot that'll surely be around alllll season.

Great to see Walter again. Didn't really see it coming, but i'll be nice to see him still involved with the show.

I like the direction Quinton Lance is going.Laurel also seemed greatly improved as a character. Her demeanor is more mature.I'm not sure I buy the reasons behind her new vendetta against "The Hood" though.

Ollie doesn't wanna kill anymore!!!!!:woot::awesome::grin::highfive:
It's about time!Bring on the trick arrows!

I hope they don't drag out Ollie's new crime-fighter name for too much longer. They could've just had him say it at the finish, but I get the feeling it's still a ways off.

The island stuff was OK....I get the feeling every season will have a different group taking over the island.(this time it's what?Somali pirates?) It could start getting old.

I hope Roy gets a costume (of sorts) pretty soon.

Overall,8/10

My thoughts on the premiere:

Thea is still a little annoying. To an extent, I understand where she's coming from, but she just comes across as petulant.

I'm already bored to tears with Oliver and Laurel.

The obligatory exposition the characters delivered wasn't delivered very well.

Some of the dialogue was clunky.

Oliver needs to stop showing off his skills in public. Desperate times call for desperate measures, but somebody's bound to get suspicious eventually.

Felicity is gorgeous as hell. However, I found myself wondering why she was in the room when her corporate superiors were making important business decisions that didn't really affect her one way or another.

I'm all for Oliver killing less, but I felt like they hammered it in a little too much.

I'm really excited for the rest of the season. It's shaping up to be something special.

I thought Arrow had a great premiere. Good plot lines, great character development, and of course...Felicity. Here's my review of it.

Read it if you wish then let's talk in the comments section. Tell me what your favorite part was, and what you're looking forward to as the season progresses.

It's kinda ironic that Past Ollie is getting more violent while Present Ollie is looking for third options.

Did anybody else realized that Black Canary was fighting like Slade aka Deathstroke?

She actually reminded me a bit of Bobby Morse with the outfit and the batons that merged into a staff, which is kinda ironic actually.

Actually that's very true I always figured that Hawkeye and Mockingbird where Marvel's Green Arrow and Black Canary hence the Irony lol

But to the context of the series, do you think that she meets Deathstroke latter and he thought her how to fight?

Wait when was this?

In the scene where Ollie meets up with Thea and Roy in the club, there was a TV in the background tunes into a news report about Star Labs' particle accelerator nearing completion before it segued to a story about his return.

Good episode overall. They really do this show for the most part right. Glad he is the Green Arrow, now and Black Canary, finally.

I know there is some humor, but glad this is not a borderline straight comedy as Agents of SHIELD, is.
