^ This Felicity has nothing in common with the comic-book character. She's an original character just like John Diggle, Eddie Thawne, and Alex Danvers.

As far as Tina/Dinah goes, I think it's a neat twist that continues the Berlantiverse's trend of both honoring the comics and simultaneously playing around with them.

She may not have anything in common with her comics counterpart, but she's a comic book character regardless. They didn't just came up with her name out of the blue.

You forgot to add Sara Lance, Jax, and Amaya to the made-for-tv characters list.

If you're going to count Felicity as a comic-book character, you have to count Jax as well, because there's a pre-Crisis Firestorm character by the name of Jefferson Jackson (although his full name wasn't ever officially given in the comics).

I did accidentally leave out Sara and Amaya, though.

The new black canary just feels wrong.

Until Oliver has had a chance to personally feel her, we won't know that for sure.

Still, after bedding Sara and Laurel, Dinah is certainly going to have some competition in being the best Black Canary to lie with Oliver between the sheets.

And that's if Artemis' upcoming "exciting twist" doesn't see her in bed with Oliver as well. After all, she was ever so briefly another Black Canary and Oliver must seduce all of the Canaries.

Which is saying something against her.

You're acting as if her existence in any way demeans Laurel's character, which it doesn't.

Whatever, though; go on hating the character for absolutely no good reason whatsoever, even though it makes you petty and hypocritical.

You like to throw around hypocritical like it's going out of style lol. Laurels been my girl since day 1, she was the only Black Canary I've ever repped for and it never changed. I've called myself petty plenty of times lol and I am the first one to admit it so congrats in recognizing it!

After watching the full episode it's just not a good one. The Tina's enemy was pretty much count vertigo. I was watching thinking why couldn't they have done this a long time ago.

The episode was alright, but I thought Ragmam was underused, and the villain had Vertigo powers. The Arrowverse already had this with the Top.

Favourite moments were the flashbacks, and Rene craving Big Belly Burgers! :funny:

Awesome episode. They've nailed 10 of 11 episodes this season. Absolutely loving the flashbacks right now as well. Worst episode was probably last week. Glad they didn't start a downward spiral!

Watching that last scene thinking this is The Bachelor.

Also, new soon-to-be BC is just too good to be true.

I enjoyed that, it was a good episode IMO, and a big step up from last weeks one. I liked Rene in this episode more than I have in previous episodes.

Lol Tina Bolland is Dinah Drake. Next up Roy Harper is Jason Todd, Adrian Chase is Harvey Dent, Diggle is Alfred Pennyworth and ofcourse Ollie is Bruce Wayne. The level of preposterness from this show is truly mindboggling.

Tina/Dinah wasn't impressive at all. The writers are purely disrespecting Katie Cassidy.

Of course they are, which is why I don't see her appearing in Arrow or Legends again.

^ If you're referring to Katie, we already know that she'll be showing up on Arrow again this season, so your cynicism is baseless.

I like the idea of Oliver acknowledging his own questionable morality, and is trying to prevent others from going down that dark path. Him allowing Rene to kill people (unless they are rubber bullets or he isn't shooting to kill) contradicts this though. I hope this is addressed further down the line.

I like what I have seen from Tina/Dinah so far. She has similarities with Sara and it is unsurprising to me that they have based her more on Sara, as Sara was received much better as BC than Laurel was early on and many wanted Laurel to be written/killed off so Sara could take her place. It seems they aren't going to take the slow-burn path with Dinah as they did with Laurel and others, but rather a similar approach to what was employed with the likes of Felicity, Sara, Slade, Diggle etc, by making her badass from the beginning (the others I mentioned were either charming, funny, badass, highly-intelligent etc or possessed several of those qualities from the beginning, which made fans love them from the outset).

Sarah is definitely one of the best characters on L of T. I liked that Ollie couldn't "save" Tina, despite his best efforts. Arrow is a much more morally ambiguous show than most superhero programs - because they cross lines that other superheroes often don't (e.g. killing their opponents). I imagine that may not work for some folks, but I enjoy it.

Arrow does have some great female characters - loved Talia, a far better version of the character than in TDKR, nice how they worked in the "something else" speech and the costume at the end.

Can't wait for Ollie and Adrian's reveal and resulting showdown.

I enjoyed Talia too, and I am interested in seeing more of her, what she is trying to achieve, what motivates her, as well as how her relationship is with Ra's and the LOA. They should have her tell Oliver about her father, so we get to see what Oliver was referring to when he said "Because if half of the stories I've heard about Ra's al Ghul are true and Sara kills his daughter, we all will pay". It would be nicer if Oliver heard about him onscreen than off-screen.

I am looking forward to seeing Oliver and Adrian's inevitable showdown too. In a way, it is like Oliver will be facing a more extreme, callous, ruthless, brutal version of himself in season 1. Perhaps he is what Oliver could have become if he allowed himself to be consumed by his mission and the pain of losing his loved ones, and did not have the guidance and support of others.

Where is it confirmed she's showing up again this season? I keep up with my KC/LL spoilers and haven't seen anything confirming that. I suspect she'll be in the finale for a flashback to bring the flashbacks closure but that's all i forsee for the remainder.

So does Barry really have enough time to do parlor tricks for Ollie with Singh given all that he has on his plate right now?

The reason Tina/Dinah has more control is because of difference in styles not skills Black Siren use a destruction Style Dinah Drake "focuses her cry better then Black Siren Because Black Siren do not care about focusing her cry she wants to destroy anything standing in front her In the other hand Drake just wants to hurt the bad guys that why she focuses her cry better

Greg Berlanti made some comments at the TCAs regarding Katie Cassidy/Laurel that I apparently misconstrued as pertaining specifically to Arrow Season 5.

Even if she doesn't come back in the remainder of Season 5, she will be back at some point because they've already lined it up with her.

Except they haven't. They haven't determined when they will use her again and when they do it depends on her availability.

I thought it was an ok episode. Not sure how I feel about the new Canary just yet.

I still laugh at how Oliver talks about not killing when people on his team use guns.

Berlanti said at the TCAS that "We made a deal at the end of that season to bring her back for a bunch of episodes", which, at least on the surface, implies that they've got future appearances for Katie already lined up and that it's merely a matter of when they call her back.

She's suppose to show up on all the shows sans SG but LoT only has 2 episodes left to film so unless she is in the finale, she aint showing up.

She is supposed to show up on The Flash but thus far no where to be seen. The contract is a bit of a joke since they didn't really plan out any of the "series regulars across all 4 shows " appearances ahead of time. It seems to be very much in real time.
