Arrowverse General Arrowverse Watching Order 2.0

When will the watching order e updated? At this time, all the show episodes are just bunched together.

I don't want to speak for @famicommander, but I guess I will anyway. Until the crossover episodes, the new seasons are really self contained stories. I think the order is in good shape for the current seasons, but is about to get intertwined with upcoming episodes. At that point, I'm sure that the watching order will correctly reflect the overall season arc for the entire Arrowverse.

I update when there's time but as of now there's really not much to go on with respect to when the different episodes of the shows take place. There have been zero links between the shows so far. I put the Flash episodes before the others because this season picks up immediately where last season left off.

ok thanks, I guess that makes sense.

I will just continue to watch each episode as they air.

We still don't know for sure if Black Lightning is part of the greater multiverse of the Arrowverse, and if so, which particular Earth it takes place on. I imagine come crossover time next season we'll get our answer.
I think it'll be very short sighted of them if Black Lightning is completely removed from the Arrowverse.

As it stands, it's fine to run on it's own and it's doing okay being it's own thing, but there will undoubtedly come a time when we do get a crossover between Black Lightning and one of the other shows; presumably Flash or Supergirl, as Arrow (whilst would work better in theme) lacks the means of jumping worlds. I suspect if/when we see him interact with one of the other leads, it'll be more a cameo appearance, leading into something a later date.

I wouldn't think Black Lightning takes place on any of our current Earth's either; there's been references to other characters on Black Lightning, but there hasn't (to my knowledge) been any reference to Black Lightning in Arrow, Flash, Supergirl or Legends.

We still don't know which Constantine series, if either, is actually canon. As it stands they contradict each other but neither contradicts the appearances of the character on Arrow or Legends of Tomorrow, so it remains an open question
How so? How is the Constantine show remotely contradicted?

just a suggestion on the current season ordering.....

Supergirl S4E06
Legends of Tomorrow S4E05
The Flash S5E07

all three of these episodes take place on Thanksgiving day and should probably be grouped together....

The live action and the animated webseries have two entirely different Chas Chandlers, to begin with. In the live action series he's an American and in the animated one he's a Brit.

The animated Constantine webseries is part of the DC Animated Movie Universe. The same one as films like Death of Superman, Teen Titan Judas Contract, and Justice League Dark.

The live action is Arrowverse.

someone said in an earlier post "The Flash S02E01 should be before Arrow S04E01 - there are multiple things from that episode of The Flash that are referenced in that episode of Arrow." would you agree with this, or should I watch the episodes the way you originally have them listed?

Massive update.

The Thanksgiving episodes aligned everything, then from there you can work backwards and hash out a better timeline of earlier episodes.

Also, the 1990 Flash TV series has officially been designated as Arrowverse Earth-90. I was already calling it that anyway, but now it's straight from Guggenheim. The show is 100% Arrowverse canon.

In Legends 4.08 the Legends mention that Barry, Kara and Oliver called them asking for help in the annual crossover, which would mean that 4.08 takes place after Barry and Oliver have gone and gotten Kara from her earth to help.... it doesn't really make sense to watch Legends 4.07 & 4.08 (since they are a connected arc) and then watch all of this....

Arrow 7.05 The Demon
Arrow 7.06 Due Process
Arrow 7.07 The Slabside Redemption
Black Lightning 2.05 The Book of Blood: Chapter One: Requiem
Black Lightning 2.06 The Book of Blood: Chapter Two: The Perdi
Black Lightning 2.07 The Book of Blood: Chapter Three: The Sange
The Flash 5.08 What's Past is Prologue
Supergirl 4.08 Bunker Hill
Arrow 7.08 Unmasked

before actually getting to the Elseworlds crossover.... I would suggest placing Legends 4.07 & 4.08 immediately after the Supergirl episode of Elseworld instead... this way that phone call makes more sense and placing them after doesn't disrupt the crossover.....

That is a good point.

Excellent point.

Updated.

It's mad to think Supernatural is going into it's 15th season. Few shows have managed to maintain such a following as they have, despite their ups and downs. I figure this'll be the last season of Arrow though, as much as I'd love for it to continue. It's possible it'll go on (until season 10 maybe?) but there's lots of foreshadowing that Ollie wont make it to the end of the next season, and the show is unlikely to work without him.

you want arrow to continue?? I'm struggling to get through season 4 fml

Season 4 is considered by the fans as being the worst season of Arrow. But Season 5 is amazing though.

lmao funny enough I mistyped, and I'm actually on season 5. it's still easily the worst of the 4 main shows. I find myself dreading when I have to go back to arrow from one of the others lol

Season 4 (and some of 5) were a little stale, but the previous season of Arrow was easily one of the stronger shows that year. All shows have their ups and downs.

The second half of season 5 is great in my opinion.

what bothers me about arrow is that the vast majority of the time, it really just feels like Oliver and felicity soap opera hour. it also ruins some batman villains; the way they did slade and ra's is unforgivable imo. like if you want to have crappy villain stories fine, but leave batman's alone lol
