Ashanti and Ali Larter join Resident Evil: Extinction

Apparently, Ali will be playing Claire Redfield from the video games and will be leading a caravan across Nevada that is going to Alaska for some reason. I don't know.

I just hope they get Claire right, cause they butchered Jill in the second one.

Anderson is the only reason Milla Jovovich is still in these if you ask me. The first film should have acted as a prequel to the game story, then continued from the beginning of the first game.

Or better yet they should have never created the Alice character. I'll probably still end up going to see this though. Just for some cheap cheesy fun.

The direction of the franchise was just poor in terms of quality but it seems they can't stop due to the almighty dollar. I will never give a never penny to see anything Anderson is involved in. Resident Evil was bad but not TOO bad. Resident Evil Apocalypse I rented and it was honestly one of the worst big budget films I have ever seen. Thank god I never went to the theaters for those pieces of ****.

I'm glad they haven't touched Leon, atleast one character I like wont get soiled. I'm betting they're going to Alaska cause the zombies can't take the cold.

I'm not a fan of the games but I quite enjoyed the second way more than the first. So you're saying it's a bad movie and adaption?

i was just thinking the same thing, and, as sub par and cheesy as this movie is probably going to be, i think this is one of the smartest moves i've seen in a zombie film. the zombies aren't alive, aren't warm blooded, and aren't smart enough to find warmth, so, they freeze. in fact, i think this is an idea Romero himself would be proud of... maybe even jealous of.

Well the walking dead comic sort of found out about that but over time its going to get somewhat warm.Also only some seem to freeze while some just get slowed down.

hm... i never read that comic... and yeah, i suppose the cold wouldn't slow down like, the lickers and nemesis and the other super-monsters.

but still, that's a really good idea, i think. it's where i plan on going when the inevitable zombie apocolypse comes.

Its an idea I was throwing around to my friends if one was to happen. In the comic they found out by mistake they were walking around and found one frozen it was funny. Later they found a prison not alot of zombies were at the gates but summer has now hit in the comic and they have hundreds at there doorstep.

You should be able to catch up the 4 trades are up to issue 30 and the normal comic is at 32 I think. I read the trades first to catch up also don't expect alot of fighting in the comic. Its really more about how the humans are tring to live.

Why, why oh why? Can't we just let those Movies rest in piece? They were one of the worst videogame adaptions ever.

The T-Virus was developed by some guy who wanted his daughter to be able to walk again. Alice turned into some superhuman with Psychic powers. S.T.A.R.S. Sucked.

Come on, Mortal Kombat was decent an at least faithfull to the story of the game. Resident Evil just took elements from the game and scripted toghether one horrible piece of ****.

That would be the ideal situation, though I doubt it'll ever happen because RE isn't a huge cultural iconic thing like Batman.

They should've used the best thing about the games, the ATMOSPHERE. They're not the best shooting games, puzzle games or even horror games, but they have the most amazing atmosphere.
