For the same reason why they built a gigantic needlessly complicated animus instead of just putting him in the couch animus that does exactly the same thing, it's like they're afraid moviegoers won't make the connection that the animus can give the user their ancestors skills in addition to their memories if they don't make it super obvious.

They were pretty much talking trash about the movie, based on a fake trailer sent out by a hacked mail account from a Ubisoft employer. So later during the show, they had to eat their own words.

Eh really not that bad. They got goofed but the way Murphy put it I thought it was going to be extremely bad or embarrassing.

It is imo. It was public knowledge THE DAY BEFORE the show that the trailer was fake and what the circumstances were. How did the Collider crew not know a day later what everyone else did? Plus, from what I've read, the trailer was OBVIOUSLY fake. It used footage from the goddamn games, for christ's sake!

I really hope it's at least decent and still manages to make some money despite its suicidal release date so close to Rogue One. Video game movies desperately need an entry that isn't a critically panned flop.

That was best trailer so far. Still terrible marketing killed hype for this movie. Long time ago. And Rogue one coming up. Light a candle or two. Just hope it's good movie.

I think what I'm not liking is the color palette, especially for the past sequences. Everything just looks beige dusty and hazy.
