You do understand that something doesn't have to be lauded by industry tastemakers to be overrated right? Especially when the person you're engaging with thinks mainstream games "journalism " lacks any semblance of credibility especially in the mid 2000s. That game was everywhere in my gaming circle. I couldn't escape it.

Thats your opinion. An overrated game would have to be universally praised by critics/gamers first, in my opinion. AC1 simply isn't that.
