That's one of the things that frustrates me about this game: there is a lot of GOOD stuff - I'm loving the various side missions, and (so far) the main missions are fairly varied without being too long.

I'm also really impressed by the amount of buildings you can go into and explore. The amount of NPCs (while likely a huge cause of the frame rate problems) helps sell the life of the city, as does the little events that the NPCs go through. There's almost always some interesting event you can just sit back and watch (and at times intervene in). At one point, I came across a large courtyard packed FULL of NPCs who are yelling and cheering as a line of prisoners are lead to the gallows. I sat in the crowd and watched a few beheadings, and then pulled out my gun and shot it into the air. Seeing half the crowd of people run off screaming and others look around as if confused was pretty damn satisfying, lol.

I know most of my posts have been *****ing about the game's faults (of which there are MANY), but none of the faults can't be fixed. But the problem is that these faults have a high impact on the game and it's easy to forget that a lot of love and work DID go into making this game.

Yea thats one of the things im loving most about the game, it feels more "lived in" than previous AC games. I mean it feels like this world is really alive. Just some really cool stuff.

Iv seen plenty of issues with the game, things that have been covered ad nauseam, but nothing that has hindered my enjoyment. Is the framerate dipping annoying? Sure, but its temporary. All the other bugs, like my character getting hung up on a ledge or something has been present in EVERY AC game to date, so while annoying, its not altering the way I look at the game. I mean this game is absolutely packed to the gills in detail. I can understand there being a few issues(most of which im sure can be ironed out)

I did get to play the Co-Op today which is as kick ass as advertised. I haven't seen a more bad ass image then seeing 4 assassins free running across a roof top in route to their target. Just looked so cool seeing every jump from roof to roof all staying in sync. Just a cool moment.

This game just seems to further prove the fact that I just dig this series. Not sure theres an AC game I couldnt find some enjoyment in. Also doesnt hurt that my Arno looks just like Green Arrow, haha. Really digging that.

so, how is the romance aspect with Elise?

I must admit, I'm a sucker for love stories, so hearing that a love story between an Assassin and a Templar is part of the game is partly what got me interested.

One thing I hope they address is the constant pop ups on screen telling that I have unused points I should spend on skills. I KNOW I have unused points - I'm saving them up for skills that should never have been locked in the first place!

EDIT: turns out there's sone customizable options for the HUD so you can turn that stuff off. Thank god.

I think its a safe bet we wont be getting a new AC game next year. They probably wont rush another AC game just so they can have one on the shelf every year.

Oh and I caved and bought Unity. Flu is going around my house and if Im gonna be sick I might as well have something to play. I would have preferred Far Cry 4 but its a few days away and I just couldnt spend $60 on Rogue when its gonna be $25 in two weeks. So Unity it is. To hell with the bugs. Im gonna make lemonade outa lemons and enjoy Paris this weekend.:)

To DJ and DarthSkywalker who offered to play multiplayer with me, I dont currently have PS Plus. I forgot that it was required to get online. I expect some sales on the membership price on Black Friday so Ill likely get it then. If I do Ill let yall know.

the game is supposed to arrived today, feel free to add me in your friendlist, I'm a sucka for some coop game! my psn username is: ectoplasme12.

Will do.:)

Has anyone else recieved an update for Unity? I put the game in and my PS4 is telling me that AC Unity has one update ready to install.

Edit: Well, 10 minutes in and Ive already fallen through the game floor and into a white oblivion. I havent experienced a frame rate crash tho.

Great! I don't have a mic, as the one in the boxset doesn't work anymore for some reason, but i will probably buy one soon (although you may not understand my with my beautiful accent).

I can't wait to try this game. Let's hope the delivery boy will do his job for once, and deliver it.

I've been playing since 7 AM (it's now after 20)... Not a single bug, glitch or slow down. Yet.. No update.. Hmmmmm.

I was really enjoying this game. Not perfect, but lots of fun imo, and then this morning it has decided it doesn't like me. I had avoided all major glitches and crashes. Sure, plenty of crappy slow down and weird things with the cizitens. But nothing game breaking. And then I tried to do a co-op mission this morning. Crashed on me twice, and third time Arno ended up falling through the world ending the session. This all happened on a private game. Wasn't even playing with anyone online. Stuff like that is a real downer, especially when they lock gear behind missions that you can't finish because of crap like this.

This game is an embarrassment.

how do you like it?

A good game despite the glitches that will be great once a patch hits. I also hope Ubisoft rethinks locking things behind the app, etc. seems like they could have had a change of heart behind this business practice.. So we'll see.

Played some more last night and for some reason the game "couldn't reach Ubisoft servers"...and surprise! No frame rate issues!

That is one of the dumbest things about this. A lot of stuff is based around being connected to the servers, and they are never up.

You assume the patches will actually work. Also if it is a good game without the patches, how will it suddenly becomes great?

Because the only thing holding it back from being a great game are the glitches? I mean continue to hate on but I've had the game since launch and haven't had the issues some of you guys are talking about. I've only experienced slow down.. No glitching through floors.. No endless falling..

The game, in its state, already plays better than past games outside of 4. All it needs is a patch to fix current issues then boom.. Good game becomes great.

Also.. Play it offline if you're having issues I guess.

^^Benstamania, you're playing on the X1, right??

well, I hope all this stuff gets patched and fixed by Xmas. in a way, I'm glad I'm saving the game until then.......lol.

I miss buying my weapons and armor in a store. Helped with immersion. This "gear loadout" system in the options menu makes me feel like I'm playing COD or some online shooter. I also hope they drop this meta helix game system ****. "We heard you liked playing your game console so we put a game inside the game console inside the game inside your concole." Just no. This is the first time I have truly through and through hated the modern Abstergo element. Idk maybe it's just me but it's killing my immersion into the world.

This is why I dislike games that require always online connections. It causes problems. If the servers crash, it messes up the game too.

If anyone wants to understand why framerate matters, fighting in this game is a perfect example. The inconsistencies in the frame rate make parrying, quick shooting and the uses of bombs in combat a challenge. The game actually drops inputs because of it.

How'd you play co-op without being online?
You can do all the co-op missions solo what is called a private session. I decided to disconnect my PS4 from being online, and this has seemingly stopped the co-op crashing.

The problems are covering up issues with the gameplay itself. Forget ships, which I honestly don't care about. They took simple things like hiding bodies out, while the parkour is all over the place. Getting through a window can be a real problem, while the frame rate issues has made using pistols and bombs a hit or miss situations. That being said, I am enjoying it and it might be my favorite AC game. It wins over Black Flag just by not having a ton of crappy sneaking missions and getting rid of the "gave over" scenarios. But it isn't a great game. Bayonetta 2 just came out. That is a great game.

The only thing I've disliked about parkour is that at times he almost looks like he is floating or is lacking any weight. And sometimes Ill jump to a building and it looks like he comes up short but the game just nudges him the extra few feet. It's just weird looking. I just haven't gotten used to the new animations yet.

Also, IGN has posted their preliminary review of Far Cry 4 and they loved it. The main campaign is hit or miss like in Far Cry 3, but the world of Kyrat the exploring the outposts and side quests are all aces it seems and there doesn't appear to be any of the bug issues that Unity is suffering from. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/11/14/far-cry-4-review
