It's always a shame when a community of gamers who have had high standards allow Game studios to make excuses. How would you feel if Mass Effect 4 didn't allow female characters? Dragon Age only having male humans?
Ubisoft now even refuses to talk about the subject. It's clear they the truth is, they wanted to save a little amount of time and money, just make another annual AC game and release it for late quarter 2014.
Those are RPGs. A genre that has almost always allowed gender selection. No other AC game and most action adventure games of this nature do not. The protaganists are whatever gender the developer says they are. Thats how its always been. You cant pick your character's gender. Its time to move on. If you cant or are this legitimately angered by this respond the proper way and dont buy the game.
And lets be clear, this game will have females. France will have female NPCs running around. You just cant play as a female. So lets stop acting like Ubisoft has occupied the game with only males. If they did then that would be legitimately questionable.
