They'll no doubt soon be casting the other very important woman in Peter Parker's life... Aunt May Parker. Who will play her? Will they take the Ultimate route where they make her a foxy grandma former hippie?

I want a mix between Ultimate and 616. I loved Ultimate's badassery but 616 is so sweet. It's impossible to choose. So I choose both.

I don't think they should necessarily cast a woman as Aunt May. Even 616 May sometimes looked like a man. Rosemary Harris wasn't quite thin enough either body-wise or even in her face. If Webb gets a man in a Norman Bates mother wig, that could work.

Rosemary Harris was a perfect Aunt May. Having said that... Mirren! NOT Jamie Lee Curtis, I don't want to have any dirty thoughts when I see Aunt May giving advice to Pete.

Lynda Carter would be technically old enough to be Peter's aunt. Actually, there's no limit on how old or young she could be. An aunt could even be younger than a nephew in some cases.

I don't know, Aunt May's defining attribute in the comics was that she was somebody that Peter had to look out for and take care of. I don't like the sexy old lady approach.

Patricia Clarkson, Joan Allen or Jaime Lee Curtis could all do well as a Ultimate/SSM version of Aunt May. Thin, late 50's/early 60's and you could still believe she could actually go out on a date if any elderly gentleman ever bothered to ask her.

I don't want Aunt May to just agree to a date. I want her to be more active and do the asking herself. She should be able to seduce men young and old and be a kind of Mrs Robinson. Maybe she will seduce Harry.

If she shouldn't be seducing anyone, how did Uncle Ben fall for her? Uncle Ben, Doc Ock... see that's two men. She broke down Doc Ock's defences - a villain of all people. She can seduce Harry.

I can imagine this scene happening on a lonely night while Peter is out web swinging (and Uncle Ben is gone). Maybe Harry will come round looking for his friend but will find a different sort of friend:

Helen Mirren for Aunt May! I do like whoever suggested Maggie Smith but she is very old and very sick. She is amazing but I just don't see her lasting another 9 years.
