Sci-Fi Avatar: The Way Of Water

The story is fine in the broad strokes. Afterall, brilliant pop cultural phenomenons like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Stranger Things, and more are just takes on other ideas with an original IP rather than remaking something outright. The biggest issue with Avatar is the characters lack charm. There is no one the vast majority enjoy watching with this movie. No one really loves hanging out with these people, instead they just look at the pretty effects and that's it. Please save these characters somehow. Please.

Something occurred to me the last time I watched this. It's a 6 year trip from earth to pandora so earth cant wait for one ship to make a round trip. If anything went wrong humans would be stuck on pandora for years and be totally ****ed while a rescue ship made the 6 year trip. Earth would need to be constantly sending supplies and crews to Pandora to ensure if anything went went wrong humans wouldnt have to wait for backup.

So, ya know when the film is ending and the navi and and a few of the good human characters are escorting the rest of the humans off Pandora and acting like it's all over and Jake says the big dragon thing is no longer needed...
I wondered about that, too! At the very least they're going to run out of oxygen supplies sooner or later because the natural atmosphere is toxic to humans. If the planet got cut off from Earth, anybody who didn't have an avatar would eventually die when they run out of breathable air tanks.

Ah yeah, you missed out - this one definitely had to be seen on a big screen in 3D. And you’re about 10,000th, not first to say that lol. This was a cinematic experience and what should have been an important change in technology for the future of cinema. Unfortunately it didn’t turn out that way because everyone else turned in very half assed attempts at 3D and killed many people’s interest in it altogether. The story is serviceable rather than good or great.

Yeah, I saw a few films n 3D after that, and none of them made much use of it. A few shots were cool, but nothing really immersed me in it the way that I heard Avatar could have.

Manufacturing oxygen is a none issue.
Only Sully is now one with his Avatar, the rest of the pilotes are not.

Your first and second sentence sounds like they contradict themselves. If the rest of them still have human bodies dependent on oxygen, then how is the limited supply of oxygen a non-issue?

I said manufacturing oxygen is a none issue, they can do that an Pandora because ...science and fiction :)

Very excited for these upcoming films they concept art is awesome. Always loved Avatar was a great theater experience. One of the best theater experiences. Do we know exactly how long he’s been filming the sequels now? He’s filming 2 films back to back?

Anyways looking forward to any news and info for these and any glimpses we get. Excited for the world building.

They've been filming since 2017 and only started with the live action stuff last year.

Anyone else blown away that they haven't done a 4k HDR conversion of Avatar yet? If any movie can serve as a demo for HDR, it's friggin Avatar.

They're probably waiting for Avatar 2 to come out.

For sure. And they can laugh at it. Just like I can look at it and not laugh because it's played out
Hey if you must, I often just scroll by the jokes I have already seen and don't feel the need to chip in with a sarcastic comment.

I thought she’d be like a spirit or a manifestation of Eywa or something, but if that’s really from the sequel she’s still dressed like Grace. And with Moore in the lab?
