when Loeb speaks, all things that come out of his mouth become highly questionable and suspect...

as I said once before, you know how you can tell when Loeb is lying?...

when he opens his mouth and his lips move...

Loeb is Mephisto and Loki all rolled up into one sneaky and deceitful package...

case closed and 'nuff said...

I'm taking some of these rumors with a grain of salt. The motions I have seen from Marvel Animation lately is that Jeph Loeb wants to start and maintain his own era and that means stepping away from the old one. I mean, fairness aside, he's been hired as Marvel's TV czar which means his job is to influence their TV shows with his vision. If he just continued with the previous era was doing, anyone could do that. Loeb isn't just anyone, he's Jeph ****ing Loeb, Hollywood contact who wrote some really great things 15 years ago and ran an NBC show into the ground.

It reminds me of when Sony hemmed and hawed about whether "AMAZING SPIDER-MAN" was a reboot, a sequel, or a prequel to the Raimi films and they gave a lot of conflicting answers. In the end? Reboot. They just didn't want to say the wrong thing and get negative buzz.

I imagine some of the voice actors will return. Fred Tatasciore voiced Hulk in "ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN" after all. That said, I'd imagine whoever voices Iron Man or Thor in "USM" will reprise for this show. And I am not buying whether this is a sequel to EMH until I see a teaser. I imagine it will have some similarities but I'm not expecting it to be.

You make a lot of good and valid points. This could all be a load of BS to prevent any negative feedback from the audience at Comicon. That being said, for this one time I will give Loeb the benefit of the doubt.

Guys, i would hate to be a buzz killer, but i can confirm to you that Avengers Assemble IS NOT a sequel to EMH, nor are they in the same universe.

And yes i have my sources and no i won't reveal them. I'm sure Marveltvnews will run a story pretty soon as we both have the same source. Actually i might write it myself.

Remember, Jeph Loeb said that ultimate spidey and EMH are in the same universe and we all know that it is a lie.

So it is more BS spin on Loeb and Marvel's part. That figures.

As much as some may hate the guy. We should just all be automatically thinking everything is crap/bs/lies.

Loeb calling AA the "spiritual successor" of A:EMH could mean 2 possible things.

1. The show is loosely in continuity with A:EMH and would pick and choose things/continuity from A:EMH to either acknowledge, ignore,or retcon.

2. They are going to pull a "BEAST WARS" where AA starts out being it's own thing set in it's own continuity in the fist season, but will then start to be tied to the A:EMH in it's latter seasons.

Well what ever ends up the case I hope we have solid vo and good stories.

and the rollercoaster ride continues. I think I'll just tune out and see what happens months down the line. No more rumors for me

Well what ever the case the show probably won't be ready to fall 2013 or early 2014. With how long it takes to write/animate a single episode let alone have 7-10 episodes in the can and ready to go.

To be honest I prefer a steady stream of 2-3 animated movies a year.

A series. Its either awesome and gets cancelled short or has airdate issues or it sucks and takes up space where a better series should be.

Oh okay I see now, well I strongly agree with you on that.

I was there and saw the footage. Loeb said this will be similar to when a new writer comes on to a book. It sounded like it could have loose connections and references to Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but I guess we shall see.

Loeb said they are still figuring the voice talent out and these may not be the final voices for the series. Hulk was definitely Fred Tatasciore. Iron Man was definitely Adrian Pasdar. Couldn't quite place who that was as Cap and Hawkeye. Thor sounded like it could've been Travis Willingham, not 100% sure.

Looked like a darker Ultimate Spider-Man. Animation I'd say was tighter, sharper, and more detailed than most of EMH. There were some CG elements mixed in as well. Not that the final product will look like this since it was only an animation test much like the original test/trailer for EMH.

Loeb said this is the next chapter and what happens after EMH.

And hey we shall see. Ben 10 does this all the time. It will really just depends on whether they contradict EMH or not.

So the animation is better than ultimate spider-man so far, does it feel epic and can be compared to young justice?
