The Avengers Ok Guys...Shall we talk DVD/Blu-ray?

Joss Whedon please re-insert the "Man out of time" scene into the film. It was the only off-putting part of the movie, the lack of that exact scene.
 
Hmmm...i'm a little skeptical, the movie JUST came out and Marvel/Disney's already got covers and dvd/blu ray features? I dunno, I mean it SEEMS legit, but I dunno, has a home release ever been prepared this fast before for a movie?
 
Boy, Marvel/Disney has their **** together! I'm sure they have been working on this for months, so this sounds about right. It can't get here soon enough that's for sure. The 3D Blu Ray is all mine! I will be at Wal Mart at midnight getting my copy. Knowing me, I will probably go right for the deleted scenes and the special features at first.

I think the 3-d blu ray cover is the best. I wish they were doing a steelbook for this.
 
The 4 disc blu ray cover is best. The DVD one is meh and the 2 disc blu ray is bad

But of course Im getting this the first day it comes out
 
I'm assuming those specs are the same as what voldemort.com had listed in their article, should be noted that apparently they were asked to take the specs and 'cover art' down by Disney/Marvel as "The title art, features and date have not yet been finalized and (we) won't be announcing for several more weeks at the earliest."

So things aren't completely finalized yet (maybe there's still hope for a cast commentary? doubtful, but I can dream, right?)

I noticed that too. It's like someone saying LED lights (Light Emitting Diode lights). I just SMH every time someone says that.

I agree with the 3D cover being the best. I, like some others here, kind of now feel like these aren't the final covers. In fact, I would be surprised if they are.
 
I wish that they did a Blu-ray/DVD combo that has the digital copy as well. I really don't want the 3D disc as well since it'll never be used due to me not having a 3D TV.
 
LOL ..... CBM is actually petitioning to have the Blu-Ray cover design changed. The level of nerd-dom knows how bounds apparently. Talk about wasting one's time.
 
For **** sake, it's just a cover.
 
Doesn't mean they should do a half ass job. Lol.

I have noticed that with most big budget movies, they don't release Steelbooks in the US for some reason. I can guarantee that there will be one, but you will have to order it from overseas. So if you get a Steelbook and it includes a DVD, it won't be compatible with US DVD players. However, the Blu Ray (the most important disk) will be Region Free. I have picked up both the THOR and Captain America Steelbook Blu Ray movies. Luckily I got them when they first came out and they weren't priced all that bad, but the THOR Steelbook, for example, is now priced at around $100. Like I said though, if you catch them when they first come out, it's not so bad. So there will be one, but you'll just have to look for it.
 
Those covers are just mock ups from the promo pics we've seen a million times, if they don't change between now and release I'll eat my hat.

Yeah ill definitely be on the look out. I usually don't chase after them but I want to display my Avenger merchandise a certain way.
 
So does the 4 disc Blu Ray 3D have the same content as the 2 disc Blu Ray DVD set? I want the 4 disc 3 D but I don't have 3D TV so I am not sure if it'll go over well, but I don't want the 2 disc BR if it's got less special features than the 4 disc version.

Yes, it's the exact same content. The two extra disks are just the 3D Blu Ray and the Digital Copy.
