DVD, dont have a ps3 or blu-ray player......yet.

Anyone can walk into a Circuit City (or almost any other place that sells electronics, for that matter) and see what a Blu-Ray movie looks like on a hi-def television. Most people have seen what it looks and sounds like at one point or another, even the folks that are sticking to DVD. But the fact of the matter is, despite all the proselytizing, a lot of people just don't feel that it's worth it to throw hundreds of dollars away on a new TV and DVD player. Maybe there will be some good deals on them on Black Friday, but the prices at the moment are pretty ridiculous, IMO.Cryptic, I respect your decision but if you do get a chance to view a blu-ray movie on an HD-TV with the proper connections, I promise you that you'll never go back to regular DVDs ever again.
I said the same thing when blu-rays came out even though I had a PS3 but my friend borrowed me his Casino Royale blu-ray & I got a chance to compare it with the DVD version. The difference was night & day. The blu-ray version had vibrant colours, crisp & clean. The audio made me feel like I was in the movie next to Bond himself. I just felt like I was in the movie truly experiencing what Bond was. I never got that from the DVD. Hope this is helpful. I'm not forcing you to get it by all means but you should give it a chance to at least see what you are missing out on.![]()
Wasn't sure where else to post this.
But is anyone else sad about not having any deleted scenes?
I mean...in the Wizard World footage, they show a The Tumbler do a burn out fishtale in the temp-cave.
And they show Batman jumping across cop cars...
Well, both the 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray will have the trailers and TV spots available for perusual -- depending on how Warners does it we may get all of them or just some.
So we'll get those alternate bits in archival form -- the alternate "You're gonna love me!" and "Kill the Batman" as well as those two scenes you mentioned.

Yes.They are both 2 disc?
Just the Bat Pod modelSo what is so special about this special edition? Just that Bat Pod model?
Yes.
Just the Bat Pod model
Let's wait for ultimate edition, like 300 or I Am Legend.
Figs, where did you preorder your Batpod Blu-ray set? If you could send me a link, I'd appreciate it! I'd rather pay extra for a collector's edition if I'm already gonna pay $25.00 for the Blu-ray version. Much appreciated!

Probably with black bars on both sides of the screen, or it will be cropped just like the Prologue on Batman Begins Blu-ray.I was looking at the 2 disc special edition DVD and it tells how they have the 6 IMAX scenes in their intended format. How can you view IMAX on a regular DVD?

How genius is it that they're releasing this movie on December 9th in Christmas season? They're def. going to sell out stores.
DVD for me. For me, the question is full screen or widescreen? I'm leaning on widescreen...
I am getting both, they are both preordered but I voted Blu-Ray on the poll.
And darknight7 I am kinda disappointed by the sounds of the extras but when we see them they'll probably be pretty good. (hopefully)
