Chris Yost said that the Ultron saga & the season finale are both going to top The Kang arc. I would love to see that happen but it's pretty hard to imagine the show getting better than Kang's story arc.

And we're all looking forward to seeing how they do it. For me, it'll be hard just because I love Kang above all other Marvel villains, and the sheer joy of seeing a 3-part arc devoted to him has been a huge nerdgasm for me. But they've done some great stuff in this show so far, so I think they'll make a good run at topping it no matter what.

I forgive Yost and company for making Ultron a co-creation of Pym and Stark after the most recent episode. I see what they're doing with Ultron now and I love them for it. Also, last episode was awesome. The Hulk, Thor, and Hawkeye having a competition to see who smashes more future-bots was great.

This season has already far surpassed the first season of Justice League. Storyline and character wise this show has nailed it on all cylinders.

For what it's worth, the Avengers have had plenty of interactions with the Shi'ar. They fought them during "Operation: Galactic Storm", and later had a Shi'ar as a member (Deathcry).

That name sounds incredibly 90s.

Deathcry was very much a 90s character, though a pretty well developed one. She was dead for a while, but maybe is staying alive after being revived for "Chaos War".
