Avengers question.

I kinda have to agree with Mistress.....a little anyways. The book isn't as "solid" as the original. But I do like the NA because of what they stand for. I love the darkness of the book and the art too. But anyways, I said this before and I will sayi it again...... NA is a better roster and a better read thn MA! This is just my 2 cents though.

The New Avengers? Not really. They simply make no sense to me.

The Classic Avengers provided more what I liked out of the Avengers, and an extremely healthy roster of heros.

Agreed. All teams need updating once in a while, but updating to New Avengers ? Nah. Mighty Avengers possibily

Ironically, I like the idea behind the new New Avengers a hell of a lot more than the Mighty Avengers. Their roster is a lot better than the Mighty Avengers', too. Not so much in power but in good characters, I mean.

Very true. I mean, I liked Mighty, and I like some of the characters, problem being, I dont like them under Bendis. I mean, I love The Sentry but only Jnekins seems to be able to write him well. I love Ms Marvel, I guess bednis didnt do anything too annoying with her. Ares was awesome, I'd love to see Oeming writing him, forever. But overall, New Avengers is a lot more interesting at this point, even with ninjas.

The only thing I'm hoping for from Ares in the foreseeable future is for Thor to give him another in a long line of memorable ass-kickings when he returns.

That's the problem with a lot of people. They don't see that this is what it was all leading to. New Avengers was originally a mix of Mighty and the new New Avengers. Dealing with espionage and high level threats.

Now instead of one team of Avengers we have two that represent the two sides of the Avengers coin. New Avengers with its street level, manga influenced flavor, complete with ninjas (love em or hate em). And Mighty Avengers with a very American art style and large scale epic battles we expect from our classic comic books.

One team is underground while the other is in the clouds. One is establishment while the other is anti-establishment. Two teams of undeniable heroes with conflicting beliefs.

It's almost like J.L.A. and J.L.Elite, but done much better and having larger ramifications in the big picture.

SHIELD could've easily thrown together a team for that very purpose, and probably already has.
