The Dark Knight AWESOME Heath Ledger Joker Impression!

Wow, those were pretty cool. Granted, it was an exact impersonation of the scenes but I'm assuming that was his intent. I liked the scars story to Rachel the best. Also, liked how he did Batman and Harvey's lines randomly too.

This is good. I'm going to go ahead and say it...if you replace Heath...replace him with an unknown so close we can't even tell. Give this guy enough make up and prosthetics and we're good to go!

meh. i think heath would've rather seen people's own spin on the joker rather than impersonating his. but of coarse this was bound to happen seeing as its one of the best performances ever. you dont see people going around impersonating jack's joker for a reason. it wasnt that memorabile. this guys good though.

first, this isnt true, as there are many jacks joker impersonators on the net. seconds, you are ****ing nuts. jacks joker was great, you are just another blinded nolan fanboy.:whatever:

He is really good. One thing I noticed is that without all the makeup, the lip smnacking gets really annoying. I guess heath did the same amount, but it's soo much more noticeable here.

But yeah, he had all the little mannerisms sspot on. Any other impressions not TDK related? (curious)

I thought it was pretty good...a slight pitch higher than Ledger's voice, but A+ nontheless.

I ****ing hate watching people doing impressions of Heath. They all suck.

I was watching those last night, definately the best of the fan impressions I've seen.

Good job with the voice, and the twitches and everything...

But the real challenge for any person trying to be character someone else established is to develop new aspects, new lines and the like.

If they bring the Joker back in a sequel, I know they'll choose someone capable of that.

?

Decent impression, but didn't impress me very much. He seems like he's trying too hard and doesn't have Ledger's vocal range. He overdoes the nasal voice.

The body language and twitchiness was pretty spot-on though.

Yeah. Pretty much what I'd say, too, but I'd add that the lip smacking got annoying. Not really the facial, but what little I watched of the video (I pretty much just went to another tab and listened), the smacking looked like a bit much, but who am I to say anything? But really, at parts it sounded and looked more like he was chewing gum, what with the constant clicks. Nearly gave me a minor headache..

But yeah. He got it down, but he overdid it a bit much. And I must say, just by looking at the guy and how he did it, it doesn't seem to me like he has the character, just the lines you know? Something I pride with my "impression" of Ledger's version of the character is that I personalized it; I threw in a few more mannerisms I would imagine/have seen genuinely insane people do that would fit the Joker, and I can go outside of the written dialog with it instead of sticking to the movie's script only like I'd expect him to do. he still did a damned good job, though, while slightly flawed.

just out of curiosity- to those that do "impressions" of the joker....why? just for fun? does anybody expect it to garner them anything other than a few claps from fellow fanboys?

Just studying a single line or scene of someone else's performance until you can duplicate it isn't that impressive, it just shows you have a lot of time on your hands. What would be more impressive would be someone who could get into the character and be able to say or do anything as the Joker would.

We should have a Joker impression contest where contestants are given some lines (original lines that are not from the movie, random quotes and stuff) and are asked to post a video of themselves in character reading these lines. Then we could vote on who is the most "Joker-like." That would give people a chance to be creative and it would be the best way to demonstrate an actual understanding of the character. Just an idea.

I like this comment, that's the thing that makes most impersonators seem so hollow. They're not playing The Joker, they're just imitating the voice and mannerisms of the actor who played The Joker.

"You know the words but you don't know the music"

I just find the whole idea of some bum posting himself on youtube just degrading and don't understand it and probably never will.

Yeah, seriously. It's mostly for fun and the challenge on my part as an actor to get it down, but whatever. I'm gonna use it on Halloween in a few years (Not doing it this year; There'll be too many Jokers and while I'm tall and lanky, I don't think I'm quite tall and lanky enough yet, so I'm giving myself a bit to grow ), maybe be in a fan film or two with my friend or something, but who cares? Not much more point in it. >_>

He's not bad in some parts of the videos. But I always feel weird watching these impersonation vids. :(

I get awkward when I watch these vids. It

Yeah, but I couldn't help it and apparently some people think this guy is so good that they're claiming he lip-synced the dialogue, so he added a video with add-lib for a suspenseful twist!

I do like the end though (the schemers part). :(

you dont need money for INJURIES , thats point ;D

...I think CJ got to him.

But yes, it's weird watching these, let alone with people around. I always have to look at a different tab or something because it just feels so... wrong and stupid, I guess? Iunno.

haha nah CJ didn't get to me

It just feels really stupid watching these videos. That means someone was acting to his camera in his room. It just feels so weird and lame. Ok it reminds me of a live action role player all into character in front of you and its just meh. Also I never ever will understand posting a video of yourself doing stuff like that. (sigh) oh well
