Couldn't resist it...got a new t-shirt tonight:

It's mind boggling that people actually thought hoverboards were real back in the 80s. Here we are in the 2010s and if someone showed off a hoverboard most of us would still call bluff.

Well it didn't help that Robert Zemeckis said they were real during a TV special when BTTF2 was released. He said they were banned by parents groups but they somehow managed to get some for the movie. He never said he was kidding. :oldrazz:

Never saw the show and don't ever recall seeing reruns but I've seen clips and if I recall correctly, Christopher Lloyd opened up every episode in a live action segment.

Funny, it seems like every other popular film in the 80s that was kid friendly was given a cartoon spin off lol

You can watch the first episode on YT plus more. They re-aired the series in 2003

Doc brown was voiced by Dan Castellenta. Mary Steenbergen voiced Clare. Lloyd introduced each episode and Bill Nye did the experiments at the end.

I think I watched the cartoon once. I had kind of outgrown Saturday morning cartoons by then, but the episode I saw was cute. I got my picture with the cutouts of the animated Doc, Marty and Einstein they had at Universal Studios at the time. :oldrazz:

Interesting, I don't recall the cartoon at all. I would have been too old by that point, but I still have no recollection of one even being around.

I don't remember it when it first ran. But saw it a few yrs back.

The blu-ray box set I won at the AMC screening came in the mail today. :woot:

(I already have the set, but it's one less Christmas present I have to shop for!)

I don't love anyone that much to give away my BTTF box set as a gift!

Well I already have it, first of all. Secondly my folks said they wanted to get it and since they bought the rental copy of the first movie from the video store for me when I was 12 (which was the coolest thing ever at the time) I thought it was a good way to say thanks. :yay:

Thanks! I'd watch just for the opening scene with Christopher Lloyd! Just read up on it on wiki, it was made the same year I was born...only lasted 26 episodes so it didn't go long.

BACK TO THE FUTURE LEADS AMC INTO 2011!

Monday, December 27th – Friday, December 31st

As a tribute to the past year and in celebration of a new one, AMC will be airing Back to the Future (1985), Back to the Future II (1989) and Back to the Future III (1990), primetime, from Monday, December 27th through Thursday, December 30th starting at 6pm ET. The marathon will continue on Friday, December 31st, all day/night from 10:30am ET to 4:00am ET.

While I could easily pop in the DVDs still nice when channel surfing to stop on BttF.

Finally saw it on theaters. Not as much people as I expected, but a kid in the back saw it for the first time and when Marty gets back to 1985, he was shouting "He did it, dad, he did it!" as the Doc was celebrating on screen. That made the whole cinematic experience totally worth it.

OK, when I first read that AMC quote, I thought all 3 movies were coming back to the theater during Christmas week. Bloody hell, I can watch them all on blu-ray now if want to watch all three of them (which I did this weekend, btw). :awesome:

Has anyone seen the new screenshots from the game? It looks really cool!

Awesome screenshots. I love the style of it.

And great to hear about AMC running the films into 2011.

Cool new images for the game. Can't wait for trailer I believe its due to go online dec 2.

And if you pre-order it now from Telltale's site you get a free copy of Puzzle Agent and they donate $1 from the pre-order to Michael J. Fox's Team Fox foundation, which is pretty cool.

It looks really good - I remember the awful Nintendo games from when the movies were first out, this is a definite improvement.

That looks really cool. I like the look of the screen shots, very cool cartoon look.

The game looks terrific. Is it not going to be on the wii? Guess I will get it for the PS3.

I just hope the game is not too short.
