Bad Comic Dialog (that makes you wanna rip your ears out of their canals)

I'm kind of confused by any dialogue from the Violet Lanterns, it's like they just say cliches about love. Ex. "Love conquers all!"

Proof that Bendis needs to stay the hell away from Dr Doom:

Yeah. Subconsciously, at the very least, between that and the Tigra incident.

Damn, somebody beat me to the punch with All-Star Batman
Pretty much any conversation in Ultimate Spider-Man or most other comics Bendis writes.
Are you kidding? The primary appeal of Ultimate Spider-Man (if the only appeal) was how great the dialog was!

Key word there is "was." Bendis' dialogue style was novel for a while, but then it just started grating on me. I know people stutter and use interjections a lot in real life, but transcribing that directly onto the printed page just makes for an annoying reading process. I'll take the edited version of actual speech in my dialogue any day.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be "makes you want to rip your brain out of its skull", since you think of the dialogue when you read?

Please tell me Captain America beat her using the guy in brown as a club. Please.

Brubaker gave a great response that in the Young Avengers Presents Patriot issue.

I seriously hope Paul Jenkins didn't expect people to actually support that.

Sally Whateverthef***hernameis is probably the worst character ever conjured up and forgotten within the span of a single mini-series.

Wow, is that how Paul Jenkins views America? The funny was later in that issue Sally rips Tony Stark even worse when she finds out he was the "traitor", so...which side was Sally on? lol

Sally was on the side of angry mothers whose grief clouds their higher reasoning skills.
