Bad Comic Dialog (that makes you wanna rip your ears out of their canals)

And he creates a whole bunch of new ones for himself in doing so. Personally, I'll take Van Lente or Parker's dialogue over Bendis' any day. They're genuinely witty and funny in their dialogue. Bendis just thinks he is, outside of a few exceptions here and there.

His characters actually converse and speak WITH each other,not AT each other.

Bendis is like the world champion for comics characters talking at each other. He throws up the ol' Wall o' Words like he was getting paid by the interminable, uninterrupted monologue. (Yes, Powers included.)

He does make characters drone on and I really don't care if Ms Marvel thinks Ares is a dork. I don't need to see every characters little witty thoughts. I want the story. Whenever I read Bendis' stuff, I usually skip over the unimportant dialog he writes.

yeah it was the Justice League disguised as villains.
I love that book which i am a proud owner of.They wanted to test Black Lightning to see if he had the stuff to be in the JLA.( how come a brother has to take a test!?!? Aquaman didnt have to take no test. Hehe) I think Zatanna was "She-Ape," Green Arrow was the musketeer guy and Green Lantern was the green glowing guy( i forget their names. hey i cant keep all this stuff straight. I remember She Ape cause i was like that's just wrong on all levels).It was cool cause Black Lightning told them to shove their JLA membership up their butts cause 1) he didnt want to be the token black dude( Hmmmm ...that sounds real familiar.) and 2) they didnt care about all the trouble going on in the streets. Years later Bats would leave for that reason and recruit Lightning for "the Outsiders." Love that book ,cause lightning stuck it to the man... ummm Superman... and now that you know. knowing is half the battle
