I think in the previous episode Maeve and Hector burned and both got destroyed so much that they had to be rebuild. and they show in ep10 that Maeve was rebuild. Thats hoe she got rid of the bomb. I guess they keep the brain ?

I think they just uploaded her configurations etc. into her new body

What an amazing season.

The only thing I thought could've used more development was William's turn into the MIB. I'm still not certain on what provoked the "mass murder" incident we saw after Logan woke up.

but what was in her brain(chip) was unique to that first body. it was not uploaded on a main computer. so they would have to copy it from the damaged body and put inside the new body. which no company would do because have the ''master'' Maeve configuration on a computer that is unchanged.

I'm trying to think but ever since they showed Ed Harris in a tux I have been having trouble functioning :gngl:

Slightly off topic but I love that in both series Jonathon Nolan used the same Radiohead song to depict ''the birth'' of a conscious AI,except in each of show we are seeing it from a different point of view

How is PoI? Should I watch it if I loved Westworld?
Yes,I would recommend it,it might take a while to get into it (like Westworld, the 1st season is more of a setup, and the real story only begins at the end of S2 onward.

Just seems that in both shows Nolan and Lisa Joy are both trying to tell us about the dangers of AI

Great finale for a great season. Those last few minutes from when Exit Music For A Film came on the piano until the end were just mesmerizing.

This season was so great. I honestly wish it didn't have to end.

i am not trying to be sarcastic. but what kind of storytelling is this where noone can die for real. where very human that dies can be a robot . or can be replaced with a robot.
But humans can die. They killed a whole lot of them in this episode.

Whether certain major human characters are truly dead or killable remains to be seen but they are showing with this finale that no one is going to be truly safe anymore.

And this was a good finale. They set up the next season without leaving it on a ridiculous cliffhanger. We already know certain characters are coming back and the untied threads are going to be spun into season 2.

Great season. The finale was amazing. Westworld is another reason why Jonah Nolan is my favorite.

I guess Hemsworth senior may be alive.
Security is dependent on the episode it seems.
Westworld security is pretty incompetent. I was kind of amazed how unwilling they were to open fire on the rogue hosts.

From the robot perspective he isn't. He waited for them to be able to be free. And I think you are supposed to root for the hosts, at least this was Nolan's idea here.

I think your supposed to root for the hosts but rooting for them may be rooting for the destruction of mankind. Intelligent conscious machines rebelling and over throwing mankind is one of the most popular type of science fiction stories.

I'm rooting for the non-*****ebag humans and non-homicidal robots.

we are sure that only side characters died. :woot:

Second part of your post. respect that they didnt end on a big cliffhanger.

I feel like Westworld is exploring a lot of the stuff Whedon was trying to do with Dollhouse.

It's not just that, it's the fact that no-one was apparently monitoring the security cameras 5 episodes ago.

The simplest explanation is Ford or someone else was altering or deleting the security footage. We were shown that he and Bernard could do that. And he or someone else was controling Maeve so its a safe assumption that he or someone else was also taking care of the security cameras so that she wouldnt be caught.

Just saw something pointed out over on Reddit...

Episode 6 (IIRC) you see Ford sat at a table with a mock up of a town at one end and a bunch of figures lined up on the other...

Otherwise known as the planning stage for the Gala events!

Yeah Sylvester mentions that someone with ''higher privileges'' than Felix or him had already been altering Maeve

just perfect ,love when it hits the 2.15 min mark

Remember that family of older hosts Ford kept around and that lab under their house where he was building a new host? We never found out who that was right?

A Ford clone?

Wasn't meant to be anyone, Lisa Joy said in an interview that it was just for creepy ambiance

Gotcha.

I saw on reddit that they brought up the comment of how all great composers became their music. More food for thought in Ford creating a host of himself.
