When I post several warnings not to post something like that....after I had to delete around 20 posts that were already going that route....it doesn't matter if it was facetious or not. It would be quoted and repeated and argued and a bunch of posters would get their shorts in a knot over it.....lesson is...when the staff says not to continue an argument making line of posting, don't continue it.

To be fair C.Lee did warn all of us. On the other hand I obviously didn't like his post but I wasn't calling for his head either. I'm glad he only got a couple of days probation.

Are we sure that Parker saw the warnings? I ran into this a couple years back. I missed a warning and got an infraction, but the mod kindly reversed it when I explained I hadnt seen the warning. Perhaps Parker just came in and posted his thoughts without reading through the thread. Ive done it plenty of times and I could have easily missed C. Lee's warning and posted that facetious remark. Well, ok I wouldnt have cause Marvel or DC fans flaming me isnt my idea of fun so I tend to avoid their wrath if I can.

I mean what's done is done, but a private warning and asking why he defied you may have been as equally effective of curing the problem as a probationary ban.

I've done the same. I usually don't argue them though because the mods I've encountered don't seem to care.

There was a guy with the name AB Joker or AB Batman who use to post of the transformers boards was something else. He literally lost is mind when Revenge of the Fallen came out and went on a massive rant against transformers fans, and the movies. Revenge of the fallen was terrible, but this guy was on the boards for a few days after the movie came out, calling people who liked it ******ed and other insulting things. C. Lee I think was the mod who got rid of him as we even tried to attack a mod who liked the movie.

LOL. There are movies that people love here and I thought were disappointing or even terrible but I never felt the need to go tearing into them for liking it.

It's the ultimate form of "it's all about me, me, me!"-ism there is.

He's on probation for his 6th infraction/warning for inappropriate language, this one being probably the worst of the bunch.
