The Dark Knight Bat Sonar: Love it or Hate it?

I didn't hate it, but I don't think he should wear the lenses all the time.

the sonar sequence was way too flashy. Didn't like his sonar lenses. Overall I'm 'meh' to it. I liked the idea but not how it was executed.

Love the lenses but now since it's been established what and how he sees we dont need to see that POV anymore just show him using them. Perhaps night vision instead...

It was comic book gadgetry in a comic book movie. I went with it, and had fun. If anything, this just further proves that Nolan's universe isn't completely realistic.

The concept was cool. He was really a "bat" in the last fight using sonar as echolation. I also like the way Wayne and Fox have that interaction in Hong Kong: "Sonar like a..... Submarine Mr. Wayne, Submarine" He was gonna say sonar like a bat until Fox cut him off with submarine.

I thought he was in the building, right? Why does he need to see what Fox was seeing? Fox was telling him where everyone was. I believe he should have used night vision while Fox was talking in his ear. That would have removed the silly CGI sonar thing, and would have made the film better for me.

Needed to be more gritty and organic. Looked too Hollywood-fake like Cerebro in X-Men.

I was more bothered by how they used "A Dog Chasing Cars" for this scene instead of a chase scene.

I loved it, it actually let me see what Batman looks like with clear eyes like in the comics lol. Plus it made sense in the context of the story, he took extreme measures to catch a lunatic, something we all are going through right now with the Patriot Act

In a way he was justified in using it to find the Joker...but in reality the gub'ment would cast a wide net with "total awarness."

Lol, your sure right about that....

I liked it in the context of the film, but wouldn't want to see it again unless it was used very sparingly. It was a bit too Daredevil for me.

I dont mind the lenses but the whole sequence with them was amazing imo. So I'm glad they were in it.

Nice little nod to brother eye while adding an nice little comic element to his suit. Loved it and the look.

Yea the Sonar lenses were not all that great, and should have been used for less of the time it was used which at least showed why those wouldn't work on a regular basis. It caused problems for Bruce against The Joker. I liked how they insured how it was only crucial for Finding the Joker, and whatever else in the building.

It was better than Forever and at least Nolan didn't forget that it is a BATMAN movie and not just a crime epic.

Another Prob for them to me is the size of the things...like spideys goggles...lol, but hey not everything has to be perfect.

I really liked it. It was something new.

It was an allegory for the PATRIOT Act and increased lack of privacy after the War on Terror which made the film socially relevant apart from its obvious value as good ol' crime action. So I loved it.

It reminded me slightly of Neo's "sight" when blinded in Matrix Revolutions.

I actually thought it was a pretty cool little gimmick to be used once and never touched on again. Besides...the computer self-destructed

It was a little hard to follow at times, but I'm sure if I catch it a second time which I will I'll understand it more.

I felt like there was sort of a message being made here, with the technology, so much power such a surveillance device had. Batman wanted to find the Joker, Fox felt it went to far. Both sides shelved their opinion and did what was necessary. So, I felt like only lipservice was paid to the other side.

Its inclusion seemed necessary given the elusiveness of the Joker, but the ethical debate seemed tacked on.
