If there was one person here who made a difference in the Batforums, it was Harry.
This is *not* a bashing thread, everyone knows how a internet forum works and you need *that one guy* to keep the conversations interesting. So he made it halfway worthwhile.
Ok, like a quarter worthwhile. You know what I mean.
I said something about him a long time ago, and I really meant it.
I'll post it again for those who missed it.
Truer words could never be spoken.
Just as Anita yay has made such a huge impact in this TDK experience, so has Harry. All remembrance goes in here and maybe we can discuss his flaws with the movie as well. If he's out there, still watching maybe he can know how wonderful he really was.
His contributions to SHH will never be forgotten.

I was disappointed that Nolan didn't make Twoface rob a bank and refer to himself as the two halves as "We". There are two sides to him: Good Harv. Bad Harv. Where was that? Nolan screwed up. And where was the riddler? Isn't he two-face's right hand man? I wanted to see Two face and riddler terrrorizing gotham along with the joker and scarecrow.
Bat sonar scene:
Batman, inside the building, turns on his sonar/lenses. Lucius is communicating through his ear piece.
POV: Everything is blue...but like a video game. WE see SWATS, hostages, etc.
LUCIUS (VO): See those people in the SWAT uniforms, those are SWATS. And those people without the SWAT uniforms, those are not SWATS. See those people coming up the elevator, those are SWATS. They are going to come up the elevator and ambush the people who are not wearing SWAT uniforms; those are the civilians. Stop them.
The camera miraculously zooms places: in out, etc. showing us where these people are coming from. All in glorious blue, video game-looking, POV shots. Like 'The Sims' video game, but in blue tint.
LUCIUS (VO): See the guy with the make-up, that is the Joker. Get him. He's a BAD guy.
LUCIUS (VO): I know you've had ninja training. They trained you in stealth and tactics...things like that, but let me tell you what you are seeing and what to do about it. Look, over there! Those are SWATS, they are coming up the stairs. Get them! Free the hostages who are over here.
BATMAN: Lucius, I feel like i'm in a video game.
LUCIUS (VO): It's not a video game. Look...up there...more SWATS.
Awesome scene! Thanks Nolan!
Umm...No. Joker does not say six or ten. It is just sort of a "yikes!" expression. You guys are.....I don't even want to say it. PLease stop this nonsence.
I thought the lenses looked badass, really well done, and realistic. I didn't like the pov shots, but that is just superficial nitpicking. I just wanted the sonar POV to look more geometric, rougher.
Things that made this movie weak:
Stupid, fake bat-pod turn up the wall.
Stupid, fake looking bat sonar.
Stupid, jumbled, mess of an ending.
I thought The Dark Knight was the best so far this year. There are just little things like the bat-pod turn that make me question whether Nolan was smoking weed the night they shot that scene.
Did anyone get the feeling, that when after the Joker escapes from Jail he seems completely different. He seems like a different personality. Everytime I watch it, after he escapes from jail, we see him at the warehouse with the pile of money, and he seems like he switched into a different mode; a different person.
All i'm saying is - read the storyboards and script, and you'll be just as annoyed as me. The batpod flip was unnecessary and just STUPID looking. It could have been cooler if they just did what was in the script.
I can't even believe that Nolan would do such a thing when it comes to the batpod up the wall. Because in the script and storyboards they just have the bat-pod turning. And Batman watches the truck flip. It is really pimp. I can't believe aomebody came up with the idea of flipping the batpod up a wall - i will kill that person.
Don't worry. The definitive Batman movie is yet to be made. And when it is made, it won't have near as many flaws as The Dark Knight had.
I also find it hard to believe that you can put a clear snetence together with half a mouth. Why did they go so unrealistic with Two-Face, and so super Realistic with the Joker?????? Does that make any sense?????
The terrible sonar/boat scene! That was so BAD , it was awesome!
^*keeper*^Is the Gambol character a nod to Gambet in the X-men series? I always suspected this ever since I heard that Gambol would be in TDK.
I wonder if Bruce watches porn on those monitors when alfred's not around.
There were so many story elements where I just had to roll my eyes.
The damn ferry boat scene.
The Sonar. And Fox saying it's wrong. So silly. We know what you're
trying to say, Nolan, you're a Bush supporter. Oh! Great!
"Sometimes people deserve more.....blah blah blah."
I wanna see Batman face the Joker, not give inspirational speeches. I'll watch Obama for that, thank you.
Just so much unnecessary stuff in TDK. A shame.
I didn't want to see politics injected into a Batman film.
When you write a paper for school you start off the first three pages very well; you sit back and think "Man, this paper is going to be awesome!" And then when you get to page 5, then 6, and so on, you start falling off and losing enthusiasm. Then you ******** through pages 7 - 10. This is What happened to Nolan when making TDK.
I didn't cry. I thought I would before I saw it because I though it would be a lot more emotional and epic than it actually was. The fact that it got really cartoony at the end, made me sort of just restless, and made me feel like I actually wanted it to end sooner. Just my opinion.
How awesome do you think the ending would have been if Nolan set-up the film to where Batman gets framed in the end, and Gordon and the police have Batman surrounded but Gordon - in the back of his mind knows Batman didn't commit the murders - let's him go, and now he's on the run, and essentially The Joker won by breaking up the relationship between Batman, Dent, and Gordon. That would have been cool. Because Gordon, also would have his doubts again about Batman.
If harvey's scarring was done with prosthetics, the sonar scene was better done, and the boat scene better done, this would have been a perfect film.
does anybody know who this girl is?
Is it a music artist? It's been killing me all day.

Nolan won 'Best usage of CGI to create a sonar scene in a feature film'. And Bale won 'Best growly voice in a feature film.'
It never says (MOUTHS) in subtitles. Did you photoshop that?
Great! This means someone can ask him why he used CGI on Two-Face, and why he smothered that god awful sonar scene with CGI!
Nolan got extremely lazy in the third act. This is what happens when a diresctor is given full control. Someone needed to say "This doesn't fit with what you've done in the first half of the film. The twoface cgi face and sonar cgi and the fake actors on the fake boats is too far of a stretch!" Someone needed to tell Nolan that.
I'm just being myself.
