I have faith in Christopher that he will make the Bat crash several times, cross walls, hard land, burn, explode, etc like he's been doing with the tumbler and the batpod. The Bat is too much awesome to not dare to destroy it. t: So much fun! By now we know that at least two henchmen's tumblers and the HEMTT truck get destroyed. Do you think Chris will let the Bat survive? I would like to see it cut in half by Bane's weapon and still fly for a while until hard landing.

I hope it survives. It's so old hat for the Batman vehicle, particularly the flying ones, to get shot down. You rarely get to see him land the thing and then go into battle, or do his investigation. I'd just like to see Batman fly in and wash away evil after a lengthy period of endurance and suffering.

It seems he has at least 5 flights in the film. Although the last 3 are all within a short time.
I don't think he'll get shot down, but we'll have to see what happens when he tries to get rid of this device.

I see the reasoning behind the comparisons, and i dont disagree. But personally I find Bane more aesthetically similar to Predator and the BatLob looks like the aerial vehicle from Terminator.

God how awesome would a new terminator series be from the Syncopy team...

Sorry...misread and though you said that Bats have a huge body.....Cassandra.

It's that name...'the Bat'.

The body actually resembles more of a trilobite or other related crustacean. And it has a linked/curling look to it with splayed fins at the end which is very much like a lobster's tail.

Haha this page is hilarious. I think it's a pretty badass-looking, er, thing. But I can see the sort of abstract bat-ness to it. The "claws" can be seen as a disconnected continuation of the upper panels, sort of resembling a bat when it's wings are downward? Maybe?

I'm having a hard time not seeing the TESB Rebel speeder connection now with the way they both float, hugging the ground, bobbing with the terrain.

It seems as if the plates right above the cockpit move up over it, I've seen a couple of pictures where it appears to be that way.

I suspect it will have a different "mode" because this thing also flies high in the air and the current way we've seen it just seems to pander to hovering only.

(though it wouldn't be too much a stretch of the imagination to see it flying that way)
