Funny who times have changed. If you did this poll 5 - 10 years ago you would've gotten at least 40% of all votes for your Vertigo approach.

Heh, he probably would have been better off posting it on the Batman forums, almost everyone would have agreed with him. :awesome:

good stories are good stories are good stories. thats one thing. i just think there could be even more awesome stories of Batman if he got to be by himself.

So once again: Broken City, Joker, City of Crime, Year One, Night Cries, Batman/Grendel, Joker: Devil's Advocate, Year 100(or does the sci-fi element ruin it?), The Man Who Laughs, Ego, Deja Vu...?

The point being: This is a character who has existed since 1939. If you actually take the time out to LOOK for them, you'll find plenty of stories of Batman, by himself, in a slightly more grounded way.

and let's not bash Batman: Europa yet. It sounds cool. Who gives a **** if Batman has to team up with the Joker? By that extension, Grant Morrison's Batman finale will suck balls. Oh wait. I haven't read it yet.

Who has been bashing Batman: Europa?

DRZ and Mr. Earle. Apparently Batman teaming up with the Joker instead of asking the JLA for help is stupid. It makes for an interesting story, in my opinion. And until I read it, nothing is for certain.

Ah well, you can't trust them two, they're not the sharpest tools in the garden shed. :oldrazz:

Although, it's funny how they object to that considering that they're fans of Batman Brave and the Bold and Batman teamed up with a certain arch-nemesis in one episode. :awesome:

1) Right back at you.
2) Yeah well it fit the tone of Brave and the Bold when it happened there. I will admit that its an innovative spin, but on the other hand it does sound stupid. I hope its a good book though.

Wanna know what else sounded stupid? That International League of Batmen arc by Morrison. If I remember correctly, when those issues came out, there was this huge outcry about how Morrison is ruining things. And now, it's a favored arc and it's being expanded upon with Batman Inc.

Batman teaming up with the Joker sounds like a cool idea. Maybe you should wait until the thing actually comes out before determining that Batman should have just went to the Justice League for help.

Like i said, i hope its a good story. We'll see.

I was joking around, mate, relax. :awesome:
I know. :woot:

Hell, every DC character was there own before DC decided they wanted what Marvel had... a connected universe... aka. the stupidest idea DC ever had :(

I dont know where you got that bit of info but it, and you, couldnt be more ignorant of the facts.

Marvel's connected universe did not come into exsistance until 1961.

DC had its connected universe as early as 1940.

Hell it was Justice League that prompted Marvel to do the Avengers.

I admit defeat, hehe. I'm a little bit surpised though since I didnt think this many was so against the idea.
Dont see the point in continuing on this thread since first of all its clearly a dead race and secondly I'd just be repeating myself, so I dunno, closing time perhaps?
