for all we know Harley could very well have a miscarriage and the entire Joker-baby scenario can be thrown out the window

Batman could cause her miscarriage making her even more insane and hell bent on getting revenge

Actually, this is a good idea, since Robin could potentially be her target in the 'eye-for-an-eye' revenge. You destroy my family, I destroy yours...

I'd prefer it over the Joker Baby.

Me too. I didn't like idea of Joker's kid going against Batman. I like idea of Harley going after Robin. Tim gets captured Batman goes in to save him they take her down.

I still like the Arkham Beyond idea. but thats just me.

If that happens we can call the game AB. I like that name too.

Arkham Asylum
Arkham City
Arkham Beyond.

Oh wow. Arkham Beyond sounds really good.

It doesn't even have to be referring to a "future' Batman Beyond take either but the title alone implies that it will take place beyond Arkham meaning more of Gotham. I like this title a lot.

I can't believe I hadn't heard this title idea thrown around before. Seems perfect and would work well for the third game (if it happens).

Is it wrong that I want to think the Arkham games are apart of B:TAS canon? :o

They put a little bit of everything from the Batmanverse in these Arkham games.

And agreed! Arkham Beyond does have a cool sound to it. Bring it on, because they will most absodefinetly be making a 3rd game.

Arkham Beyond... It really is a great title.

Would this be the first original superhero video game trilogy of this kind?

That's pretty messed up. I like it.
Although it is hard to see Batman intentionally causing that, but since Dini is writing, it can happen.

I also don't like the idea of Joker's baby. Something just seems...I don't know...wrong. I don't know the right word for how I feel.

I love this title. I don't remember seeing that before.

Its actually fitting and probably the best title for the next game since it will be after the events of all the Arkham stuff yet your still having to face Arkham villains. It's perfect.

I'm sure the lack of a high security prison for the criminally insane and ALL the villains still on the loose will be concepts they address, there has to be some closure to all that.

I was watching a featurette on the game or reading an article or something and someone said the games were a continuation of B:TAS. Don't know if it was fact, but it's what I read. It's definitely got enough elements in common to be considered a part of the cannon.

Two-face's look, for one, certainly looks like it's the result of an explosion with half his body being burnt and all. Tim Drake's costume looks like a natural evolution of his costume from The New Batman Adventures, Croc looks like a green and scaly version of his animated self, a lot of similarities. I don't see how this game wouldn't fit in continuity. That's pretty awesome if it's true.

Or maybe after Harley gets thrown in jail/dies, Bruce Wayne adopts the kid and raises it as another Bat-pupil. :o

I highly, highly doubt RS intended for that to be the case. They've always kind of had their own mythos. I think they take elements from all of Batmans lore but I don't think this falls within anything specific.

Eh, I dunno. RS are fans of TAS... That much is obvious. The Arkham verse, to me, always has been an extension of TAS.

Paul Dini who co-wrote the Animated Series wrote the story for both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City for what it is worth.

You're on Superherohype. It's full of fans of various superheroes (Batman being one of the top.) This thread is a section of THE best superhero game ever. Do you seriously think no one here knew that?

Do you?

Do you...?

Okay, sorry. That was me using sarcasm as a way of saying "Yes, we knew that.

Lol, you would have been justified in giving me a facepalm for that one.

Here you go...

Hahaha... Seriously though, Paul Dini better come stronger on the 3rd one.

Why do people throw all the blame of any flaws onto him?

Sefton Hill and Paul Crocker set the parameters of their story for Paul and had a large say in how the story developed.

I thought he did good with AA's story and he improved with AC's in my opinion.

I'm not pointing fingers or blaming anyone for anything. But obviously I am not the only one feeling this way so maybe they should look to see what can get tightened up on their end...

I think RS has actually come out and stated this doesn't fall within any lore from the Batman mythos. They don't want to be tied to any specific lore from Batmans many years of stories. I guess it could be a "spiritual" successor of sorts.

I highly doubt Hill and Crocker specifically ordered Dini to write purposely awful dialogue between Catwoman and Two-Face at the beginning. :cwink:

Not to mention Dini is not as good of a writer as he used to be, if his Gotham Sirens work and Ultimate Spider-Man are any indication.

I thought the dialogue was fine for the game. Story and dialogue is a very overrated componet of video games because the majority of players ignore it. I very much doubt that Dini was alone in the writing.
