That's the sound of a joke that's been played out.

Yes but it's also been used in the comics aswell.

While no different in terms of gadgets, the Batsuit that Batman wears, first in the Troika storyline, is noticeably darker than his default costume, comparable to the Batsuits featured in Tim Burton's live-action films. The costume is also much sturdier than his regular costume, as it is made of Kevlar for added protection. Batman designs it with his encounter with Bane in mind. The gauntlets and boots for this Batsuit are also one piece, connected seamlessly to the arms and legs. By Robin #14, Batman substitutes the original gloves and boots for ones of more protective quality, citing his encounter with the Russian Troika. Later in No Man's Land, Batman replaces the utility belt, which uses capsules, for a utility belt with the standard military style pouches.

I saw it used in comics in some images, never read any of the comics with that suit

:hehe:

You know, I like the Burton mod purely for the white eyes. Could we get a costume that was just that? :p

Yeah i was surprised to see the TDKR costume with the eye pupils, i guess they wanna show the eyes to keep the emotions that the eyes can do? Like yeah in cartoons the white eyes still show when he's sad or not, but i dunno maybe they just thought revealing the eyes would work better, despite people diggint the white eye thing.

Don't the white eyes always come into play when he uses the detective mode?

Yep, but some want them perma. :p

Don't worry Aziz, I'll make a YouTube video that explains it all to you :)

In the meantime, here's some written instructions:

1. you will need to download Texmod

2. you will need to extract texmod once extracted open the text mod folder

3. Double click the texmod application

4. Click the folder at the top under "Target Application" and navigate to C:\Program Files\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum Demo\Binaries and select SHIPPINGPC-BMGAME.EXE

5. Click the "Logging Mode" mode tab and untick "Show texture In upper left corner"
(you can change your output to what ever but i find PNG are very nice formats)

6 Click "Run" at the bottom now the batman demo should load, once loaded navigate to the character trophies and select batman

7. Navigate threw the textures using the "+" and "-" keys on the number pad for next and previous respectively ( the select texture will turn lime green ) *Note there are over 450 textures loaded on this screen and not all can be seen you may have to hold down the "+" key for a while until things start turning green.

8.Once you have found the texture you want to edit click the "ENTER" key and close the game. Open you desired image editing software i personally use photshop cs4 and drag and drop your extracted texture into the software *Note Extracted textures can be found in the "Out" folder inside the texmod folder.

9. Once you have editing you texture click save and select the format you extracted the image in KEEPING the same name as the original file.

10 once completed go back to texmod and click the "Package Build" tab. use
TexMod.log as your definition file and click build. (depending on the amount of editing textures this can take some time). once finished you will be asked to name a .TPF file call this whatever you wish but something you will remember. for instance i use

Beyond BAA StalkerUKCG v0.2.tpf. Beyond being the costume, BAA the game and my user name and then the current version im on. my versions never reach a v1.0 till iv released them

11. after you have done this navigate to the Package Mode tab and click the folder icon above the red X and browse to your specific .tpf file you ahve just created once this has been loaded click run and test out your skin.

The bad thing is that you can only use these alternate suits in the demo.

It's funny in previous games I never really cared what the costume looked like. Such as X-men legends, where they have the multiple. Yeah, I changed it once in a while but never felt it was really "THAT" cool. Now when I see arkham asylum with diff costumes it makes me want them all.

Interesting how two similar but totally different games can do the exact same thing yet the hype isn't there for one as it is the other.

The cool thing about the outfits we've seen, the DKR and 70's outfits, is that they went all the way with them. Not just making them color different...but the gloves, the utility belts, the boots...they're different from the AC one. It's good to see they didn't half ass them.

And those great fan mods really have me wishing they go with a BB and TDK outfit. Zur-en-aarh looks funny. Batman America...and his deporting socialists as well.

wow that's great ^

I hope we can play as TDKR Batman in the story mode.

Of all the aspects of the TDK suit, they chose to keep the legs and the chest, which are easily the worst parts?

It's probably why I prefer the Batman Begins outfit.

I believe, if memory serves me right, after reading comments from some of the users that were making those mods on the Arkham Asylum forum...was that they were limited in the changes they could make. I think the cowl, the boots, the gloves, and the utility belt could not be altered because of coding or something...

They're small stuff...but makes a difference, when you look at that Neal Adams Batman model. The gloves and the capsule utility belt on that looks great.

I saw it on the Akrham forums, I know I'll be picking up the hardcover tpb of the Arkham City comic. It's supposed to release on the 12th of October, just in time. http://dccomics.com/dcu/graphic_novels/?gn=19672

And since I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the CE of Arkham City on the 18th, I'll go ahead and pick up the blu-ray DVD of Batman: Year One, too. That's going to be one hell of a night for Bat-fans.

Since I've already have the single issues 1 - 3 and will be buying issue 4 next week. I won't be purchasing the hardcover trade paperback .

I probably won't be able to buy the Blu-Ray of Batman: Year One right away since I'm buying the collectors edition of Arkham City which I've set money aside for October. In September I'll be buying the 3 disc Blu-Ray of THOR

So who are the villains that we've gotten of taped interviews?

The Penguin, Catwoman, Two-Face, Riddler...

you think we'll get some more? Such as Freeze and Black Mask?

EB Games Australia revealed this morning that it will be stocking a Batman: Arkham City Steel Book Edition with the following contents:

- Batman Arkham City Steel Book Case
- Joker's Carnival Challenge Map DLC
- 70’s Batsuit skin DLC
- Batman Under the Red Hood DVD (Blu Ray for PS3)

The package is priced at $98 for the Xbox and Playstation 3 versions while the PC version costs $88. The appearance of the steel book has yet to be revealed but we'll keep an eye out. It's also unknown if this edition will be available outside of EB Games.

With the steel book and collector's edition offering different things which one will you choose?

FML, in my opinion the CE should get the recent movie and the steel book case.

Is the CE going to be available in the UK?
