Batman|Bruce Wayne/Affleck is in Suicide Squad!

k then..lols. How else would I be making this up if I didn't know that it was part of the novelization and that it wasn't part of the movie? Because I didn't know and now i am almost tempted to go see SS again but I dunno.

Batman doesn't say anything in the movie, except during the scene with Deadshot.

Why would Canada get a cut that's exactly the same but with one Batman line added? And nobody else from Canada has commented on this?

I haven't read the novelization yet, but I'd imagine he means putting her in Belle Reeves by saying it's "his turn [to take something from Joker]" ... not kissing Joker's girlfriend. Jeez.

Hey, do you blame him? Come on.

I really liked this moment btw I thought Margot and Ben had a good chemistry there

K maybe it was that scene instead of the other. Problem is each scene went by so quick to get to the next scene...sorry guys :( my brain has ways of confusing me.

Honestly, that minute clip of Batman interacting with Deadshot...that was my favorite scene in the entire film. That kept playing over and over in my head as I watched the film. I can not wait for Ben Affleck's Batman movie. This is, by far, my favorite iteration of Batman.

The only thing I'm disappointed with is...Ayer talked up the Batman bits A LOT. He talked about how Batman was, essentially, shown from the villains point of view. That he was SCARY and used psychological warfare against the criminals. Batman rarely did anything. I know I'm getting a little critical in this but, I feel like they should have sped up Batman's descent on Deadshot. It looked kind of odd seeing him slowly descend onto the scene. It was, in a way, very 1989 Batman esque.

There are reports that there was supposed to be a fight scene between Croc and Batman that got cut...can anyone confirm this?

I honestly thought Batman kissed Harley :funny:

But anyway, I thought he was great in SS...definitely a highlight.

Especially the mid credit scene

Batman interacting with Deadshot is the Batman I was hoping for in BvS, not Murder-Bat.

It was just further proof that Ben is the definitive Batman. Even his one line to Deadshot was perfect

...but then he just stood there like an idiot.

It started badass, homage to Keaton swooping down... but then the fight was so/so (shot to up close) and then he just stands there with a little girl trying to 'talk her Dad/Deadshot' down.

Meh.

Exactly. That was awesome and that is Batman. Keaton didn't swoop in and beat the living crap out of a criminal in front of his child, either.

Anyway, that scene was about Deadshot rather than Batman.

Is this pre or post BvS Batman? I like how he was a bit of a dick still here. "Don't make me do this in front of your daughter" but more or less proceeds to do so anyway.

Post, they make reference to Superman dying.

Yeah, he was great. Loved his scene with Waller at the end. It just made me wish JL was coming out sooner.

Yes, but post Superman dying is when the events of the film take place. The Deadshot/Batman scene is a flashback (before Deadshot ends up in Belle Reve) and we don't know whether that is before or after BvS.

Showing compassion makes him a bit of a dick? lol He gave Deadshot fair warning (a mercy he doesn't always extend to others), but the guy clearly refused to surrender. So, naturally, things escalated from there.

Batman being a dick to criminals? You don't say.

Was Batman showing compassion or using the daughter as emotional leverage? If he really wanted to not beat Deadshot up in front of his daughter he could have trailed them till Deadshot dropped his daughter off and not get her involved at all. You say 'things naturally escalated' -- so Batman wouldn't have considered the possibility of a situation with an innocent present escalating badly?

So, Batman was being reckless or intentionally using the daughter. Either way he's a bit of a dick. Which I don't have a problem with here.
