Preach brotha!

Mahershala Ali should have been Green Lantern in Justice League and the solo film.
He would've been great. I also would've been down with Dwayne Johnson or Idris Elba. They would've brought a lot of star power. The actors were just there in JL. I think they needed more charisma.

I agree. Great actors don't count if you don't end up caring about the characters.

10 years ago, who would've thought that the upcoming Iron Man movie would've ever paved the way for not one, but two Guardians of the Galaxy movies?

There are definitely corrective measures to be taken where WB is concerned, but "ever" is an awfully long time.

I hope i'm alive when they finally get their sh** together.

Can we throw Lee Pace's name back into the hat?

I see Lee Pace more of a Harvey Dent or Tommy Elliot.

I was guessing if things had gone to plan and the films been successful that we might have got MM by the time of a JL3. For now JL3 seems like at the very least 4 years away from when this universe finally turns the corner. When it comes to MM I'm not waiting for 'ever', or anything close. If it doesn't happen in 10 years I'm getting Aziz to dress up.

Forgot about Pace. Interesting. I haven't seen much from him to be honest. I don't know if he can deliver warmth on screen. And he looks like a rookie Batman to me. Gyllenhaal looks like he's been at it for about a decade.

I'll be fair. Hammer and Pace look like they've been Batman for 3 to 5 years. No more than that. 30 years old-ish. If that was the idea, I'd be ok with it. I'm guessing it's not. JG looks mid 30s to me. A good 10 years in the game. I believe that's closer to Reeves' interpretation.

Personally I think Pace looks older than Gyllenhaal. Either way, they're both 38-years-old, and someone who exercises and eats healthy (as Bruce Wayne would) can stand to look a bit younger than they are. And while Gyllenhaal's voice is a bit suspect for a role like Batman, Pace has the voice down pat.

Gyllenhaal would probably bring more intensity to the role, whereas Pace is more charismatic. So it really depends on what you want.

Pace is 38, and you should watch The Fall. He's the star and it's a good underrated movie.

Yeah The Fall is one of my all time favorite movies.

I don't really understand , and maybe it's just me, how ppl would rather take somebody who is a lesser actor with not as much range just because they look more like how they see a character in their head. Always go to the best actor. It doesn't matter if Daniel Craig doesn't look like Connery or Brosnan. It doesn't matter if Keaton didn't look like Baldwin. It doesn't matter if Gyllenhaal doesn't look like Affleck or Hammer. People would STILL rather see Cavill in the role of Superman over a better actor, based on his look. I personally find it quite sad and humorous at the same time to read things like that. Same goes for a lot of you guys turning down the best actors in the business in favor of more inexperienced, less versatile artists.

I get the need to keep the thread fresh with new suggestions, that I'm all for. But it really baffles me..

In that case, Daniel Day Lewis for Batman.
