You just get the new Batman actor to appear and ignore the fact that it's over a decade later in his life. Most audience members won't care as long as the film and the content of Bruce's appearance in it are great.
As for why Reeves might want to do a prequel, it's probably because Snyder skipped over the vast majority of classic Batman stories so he could loosely adapt The Dark Knight Returns for Batman v Superman.
Reeves wants to do a trilogy of Batman films and mentioned last year that he wants to do something similar with Bruce as to what he did with Caesar character-wise. As a result, it makes a lot of sense for Reeves to be drawn to the idea of showing how Bruce became more cynical leading up to BvS.
Exactly. Kind of like how James McCavoy and Michael Fassbender haven't aged at all from the 60s to the 80s in the newer X-men movies.
