Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 4

The top three choices for me are definitely Dan Stevens, Oliver Jackson Cohen, and Robert Pattinson. Us Brits make the best Batman :D

Pattinson's the type of choice you tend to overlook until his casting prompts a closer inspection; then you ask yourself why you never considered him in the first place. That right there is a Batman jaw if I ever saw one. Darken his hair a little and you've got yourself a new Bruce Wayne.

Robert's a dead-ringer for a taller Mac Miller and I cannot get that out of my head. Give him literally any other role please. :(

I demand an unknown-to-rising star.

I don't want any has beens or A-listers or any of that. I want someone who I can see as Batman. Not see some guy from a teen franchise. Batman doesn't require a movie star to pull off. The appeal of the brand is enough to catapult this to a billion worldwide (if done right). When will studios ever learn?

Dat jaw tho.

I hate Twilight as much as anyone, but I think his fantastic work in films of the last few years should earn him something better than "some guy from a teen franchise."

That said, I'm always up for an unknown to get the role as well.

Demand? Someone’s feeling bossy!

I am a straight male, but, he is a handsome man.

Yeah, having just watched a few YouTube clips of him in various films spanning 2014-2018, I've gotta give credit where credit is due. The man's become quite the versatile performer, and an impressive one at that, since he last appeared in that godawful Twilight trilogy. I mean, I'm still not 100% sold on him, but pickings are slim!! lol

If you haven't watched the entire film of Good Time, I suggest doing so ASAP. Great movie, great performance. I only saw it recently myself when I saw it was available on Amazon Prime, but it would have definitely made my Best of 2017 list if I'd seen it then.

Kewl beans. I've been looking for something new to watch. Thanks for the recommendation.

Random, but I see that Super Mario is getting in on that Patreon action à la Danny R. ha ha

Pretty wild that any day now we'll all be waking up to the news of a newly crowned Batman.

You got a point. He's been in a bunch of indies in the past 5 years and proving he can actually act. Kinda like DiCaprio post-Titanic when he had to reformat himself and prove his creds.

Eh, Pattison was smart af. Be financially set with them lame vampire movies, while taking pay cuts to work with auteur directors. Dude has a better director resume than most current Oscar nominees.
If only Chris Pratt might take that advice
