Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 4

I’m a big Armie Hammer fan after Call Me By Your Name, so he’s my pick, especially for a younger Bruce.

Pattinson would be great too. Maybe for Joker or Hal Jordan as well.

Hedlund is also solid, but maybe not to lead a film. Though honestly if Reeves was able to keep us riveted with an ape and Jason Clarke, I’m sure he can do the same with a lot of actors.

I don't know, I've just always envisioned Bruce as a MAN, like he has some air of authority/maturity about him.

Comparing Christian Bale at 25-26 (When American Psycho came out) and Taron Egerton at 28 today are like night and day IMO. Like if you as an actor at almost 30 can convincingly play 18 you're not mature enough looking for the part.

Great point and so true, i often wondered how old Bale was as i always compared him to M McConaughey and he hasn't aged too well at all (younger than Cruise, smith and pitt). I believe Bale is 44 which is why i was so disappointed (personally) that it wasn't Bale who came back for BvS as it would have been an organic - drawing him out of retirement moment.

That being said, who'd you guys cast as a young Selina?

Angela Sarafyan

Or

Camila Mendes

Did you really want Zack Snyder ruining Nolan's legacy though?

Watch Dylan OBrien be cast as Bruce.

I like O'Brien but no. I think he'd make a great Nightwing though

He was my Nightwing choice for awhile, but that movie has been shelved as far as I know. He fits all the criteria they seem to be looking for. He is not my choice, but he is someone I could see being looked at.

Truth be told it's difficult to imagine who they could cast if they are looking for a young Batman since there's a very likely scenario is that among all those actors that'll appear for casting, the one chosen is gonna be some really good handsome actor that's yet to be discovered and at this point has maybe been in a couple episodes of some terrible TV show or in some terrible movie that no one saw or that's very far removed from our demographic so we don't know who the hell it could be.
Someone probably no one even heard off.

And there are probably a lot of potentially great handsome tall actors 25-30 years old out there that are yet to be discovered, but we don't know who the **** they are.

I mean the thing that usually happens with those actors at this point in the careers is that most of them get cast in very lame roles of "the hot stereotypical guy" in some TV show or movie that don't allow them to shine or show their range.

Kinda like what happened to Audrey Plaza who appareantly always got cast as "the hot chick" till we discovered how great she actually was in Legion.

Since Hedlund’s name was brought up... I can’t believe no one mentioned Mudbound. Hands down his best performance and a stellar movie. I’m not sure that he’s right for Bruce though. I could definitely see him as Hal Jordan or Barry Allen.

Anyway, I haaaaaaate the Miles Teller suggestion. He’s a good actor but hell no to him playing Bruce Wayne. And Stephen Amell? Seriously?

Armie Hammer - 31 years old, 6'5"
Christopher Abbott - 32 years old, 5'11"
Jonathan Groff - 33 years old, 5'11"
Luke Kleintank - 28 years old, 6'0"
Richard Madden - 32 years old, 5'10"
Tyler Hoechlin - 30 years old, 6'0"

Armie all the way! Of the others though, Luke Kleintank and Johnathan Groff are intriguing. Tyler Hoechlin could be a good choice too, but he may be too "TV."

Part of me wishes they were gonna recast Flash instead of Batman :funny:

More like too “Superman.”

He was Superman for 4 episodes on a TV show that barely anyone watches... Probably within a half an hour or less of screen time...

Don't really think it matters in the grand scheme of things, especially when vast majority of the GA wouldn't even be aware of his playing Superman.
