Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 5

Everyone is going out or getting another role. Even more promising for Tellaarr. He will be so ready after two super high profile projects TG2 and Too old to die young. His performance bits in the trailer look so damn good. He clearly has the talent to pull of a huge variety of roles and that obviously includes Bruce Wayne which he would be perfect for in a Reeves-ian set universe.

Him facing off against well-received and talented Jokers like Jared Leto and the upcoming Joaq Phoenix one will be a delight to visualize and be a signifant immersive experience.

People are saying they want a Batman ti support and not punch which is exactly why M. Tellaarr should get the role because we must question as an audience and be challenged into seeing if we should really support this dark vigilante who clearly is psychotic. We should be questioning ourselves at every moment if we really should be rooting for someone who acts always outside the law. Miles casting by looks will certainly help bring those emotions out on a complex subversive level. No other actor with “conventional” good looks will do that. No one... challenge yourself..

Believe in Tellaarr because He Stellarrr!!

So Grace Randolph hosted an official WB panel alongside Jim Lee and Kevin Conroy, which means she probably has deep connections inside WB. Grace said the list of Jack O'Conell, ATJ, Hoult and Reynor is BS.
Hm. I'm kinda willing to belive her considering her connections

With respect, the spoiler info, i didn't understand... i haven't heard anything about that or know much. Could you please elaborate more pal?

I actually never heard that, or at least i don't remember - i always thought he was scheduled to be gl, also the green lantern one in bvs or jl i think it was, that test pilot, that was interesting but again, just rumour. Amazing what the internet does.

I remember all this speculation all over the internet about Scott Eastwood’s role in Suicide Squad. He’s Deathstroke! He’s Steve Trevor! He’s Dick Grayson, undercover! I never heard the rumor that he was Hal Jordan; must have missed that one.

And in the end, he was just some nameless soldier who blows himself up in a sewer and no one cares. LOL.

Which is why I would go with the shortlist of Hammer, Teller or Pattinson. Preferably would go Armie Hammer and he is the odds on favorite more or less. Teller would be a unique pick for Bruce but Pattinson I just can't see it if at all. All I think of is the Twilight series when I see him which is why I can't see him as Bruce Wayne. If anything I can see him as a Batman villain for sure. Pattinson I could see him as Scarecrow, Riddler, or even Joker believe it or not.

No thank you...glad someone is wise enough to agree

lol... well at least now things seem more..... settled.

Aaron would be an amazing Batman
Based on what? The fact that he's muscular? Because that's as far as his qualifications for being Batman go. He doesn't have the voice, his best roles is playing socially awkward weirdos like Kick Ass or lunatics like in Nocturnal Animals, and it's not like he's worked with a bunch of genius filmmakers over the past few years to maybe suggest he has some hidden talent or something directors like about him. Most of the jobs he's gotten as of lately are because of his wife. Again, maybe he crushes the audition, but as of right now I dont understand why would anyone campaign for him as Batman other than it being a nice trivia that he played both Kick Ass and Batman

Armie is a muscular Batman but one that can actually act and not to mention since The Lone Ranger and Social Network, Armie has become better as an actor. Armie Hammer just makes sense.

Here's the thing about ATJ: You'd think that a young and handsome actor that was in 2 blockbuster franchises (Godzilla, AoU), one well known film with a following (Kick Ass), and that won a Golden Globe because of his performance playing a lunatic in Nocturnal Animals would get a ton of projects and collaborations with bunch of different interesting directors after that. You'd think that actor would be at the top of everyone's list for any project, but you know what happened after AoU and Nocturnal Animals?

He has barely starred in ****.No, seriously, look at his fimography, after those films, his career pretty much disappeared. There are complete unknowns we've mentioned here that have starred in more stuff since 2016 than ATJ. He hasn't starred in either super interesting experimental projects with promising directors, he hasn't starred in studio stuff. Nothing. And you know why that happened? Because he's not that good an actor, because he doesn't have that much potential, because he can only play one thing and one thing only which is weirdo. Directors don't like him, his career only was blowing up when he was able to play socially awkward teenagers. Now he's too buff and mature looking to play teenagers, and he's too weird to play many other things.

Armie on the other hand has starred in a lot of things, has worked with talented picky directors since the beginning of his career and he has continued to do so ever since. Same thing with Robert Pattinson.
Same thing with Nicholas Hoult.

It's funny because both Armie and ATJ starred in pretty similar films playing a tortured soldier in a ****ty situation ("The Wall" and "Mine") and anyone that watches even clips of those films could tell that Armie is by faaaar a better choice for Batman than ATJ.

Armie Hammer too also has the billionaire playboy look that ATJ doesn't have. Armie is tall, muscular but also he can also play tortured pretty well.

Jesus, Invader. Did Aaron Taylor Johnson sleep with your girlfriend or something? Take a chill pill.

ATJ current wife was married to Invader for about two years. She left him for ATJ.. He hates that ATJ is a better father to his kids, but that is what People magazine reported.

Also, this looks like a young Bruce Wayne to me.

Yes. ATJ HAS the looks. I'm not denying that, if you show me a picture I'm like "yeah that works" but the problem is I've heard him speak and I've seen him act and... Batman? God, no.
Aside from looks he doesn't have absolutely anything else that makes him right for the role for the many reasons I already said earlier.
I don't hate the guy, I liked him in Kick Ass but I do hate the idea of him as Batman. He works as an actor for a very very particular kind of role.
Give him something like the Creeper or something like that.

There are MUCH MUCH better choices than ATJ for the role. Armie Hammer, Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult are 3 of them.

ATJ was amazing in Nocturnal Animals, great in Kick-Ass, and good in Ultron. He wasn’t great in Godzilla, but no one was (seriously, there were no standout performances in that movie). I’m not saying he’s right for Batman; I have honestly no idea whether he could pull it off. But his role in NA at least showed me he can go to some dark places with a character, which is something an actor needs when playing Bruce Wayne. If he landed the role, I’d at least be open minded about it.

It is, but that’s because it’s what the role called for. Bale was an entirely different kind of dark in American Psycho, but a lot of people saw the potential he had to play Batman after watching it.

Was it really entirely different, though? He played a *****ebag billionaire with a lot of issues and, living a double life and an extremely dark side to him. I mean, it wasn't hard at all to imagine him as Batman after seeing that film because Patrick Bateman was essentially Batman and Joker combined. He dressed like Bruce Wayne, in many scenes he talked like Bruce Wayne, he showed the sadness/tortured that applied to a different context Bruce Wayne could have.

I mean, it was really a perfect role to determine whether or not he'd fit the role in a way that playing a redneck lunatic with a high pitched voice and a weird accent isn't lmao
