If this is true, we can probably start saying goodbye to a lot of unconventional choices (Like Lerman, O'Brien, Elgort, Skarsgard, Reynor,ATJ and /potentially/ Nicholas Hoult and O'Conell) that would probably neither look or act like the Bruce from the comics and are more Keaton like than anything else.

No offense but that’s kind of a bullheaded way of looking at it...

People report things as they are at the time, it’s not his fault Man of Steel 2 negotiations fell through. He was the first to report that Superman would have a cameo in shazam and at the time they wanted to go ahead with MoS2, Henry’s manager started hardball negotiations, and everything fell through. This was all confirmed by THR that Henry was supposed to cameo in Shazam but contract negotiations became an issue, so Mario was right but things between the studio and Henry made the plan change.

He’s gotten scoop after scoop right (especially casting) over the last few weeks, so he’s definitely reliable enough that you should pay attention to what he says, but with ANY scooper you always should take it with a grain of salt.

Eh. Not necessarily. This could mean Reeves is going to make the character as close to the comics as possible, and the aesthetics and themes. It could still be an actor from left field, in terms of looks. It’d be the opposite of Affleck.

There's no way that a director that's going out of his way to even put the damn white eyes in the cowl to be comic accurate will cast Ansel Elgort, Lerman or O'Brien in the part. And NOTHING has been said on him wanting someone opposite of Affleck, he just wants someone young.

He wants an actor under 30 and all of them have a youthful look. He's talking about aesthetics i.e the suit, the batmobile and mythos. Nothing to do with who he cast in the role

The problem I have with a lot of these recent manips is that they use existing cowls, which do not conform to the manip-ed actors face. It looks kinda neat, but ultimately gives us no idea what they would actually look like as Batman. The best one of Pattinson was the simple hand-drawn manip back when his name first came up.

Considering the kind of actor they're looking for, young, fit and famous, I wouldn't be surprised if Liam Hemsworth is considered.
Tom Bateman though wouldn't have been bad as a young Ben Affleck-y Bruce and Batman.
