Michael Fassbender has not signed to do Assassins Creed hes just rumored to play the role,and he has only one commitment to X-Men and that is in Days of Future Past which will be done filming far before Batman/Superman start filming. He has not signed on for any other X-Men film after that or Assassins Creed.
I wouldn´t rule out him yet.

Man if Fass signs on to play Batman. I would so happy! Like Goyer said in Begins SE DVD there are actors make great just Batman or just Bruce Wayne so Fass can act both.

But what if covert X-Men 4 is a huge hit? Fox could want him to do another film and he could like working with the cast enough to do it.

Almost definitely, like Pitt in World War Z, however, considering Fass is a producer, and the reason the film is happening, he has enough pull to delay the film for a few months.

Great manip. Josh Brolin is 45 years old though. His ex-wife is also a member of the MOS cast, which might deter him from signing up for the sequel.

To answer your question though, I think it would get more hate than the Keaton announcement did back in the 80's, or Craig's casting as Bond initially did. **** would hit the fan, as they say.

I think Josheph Gordon Levitt should play Robin if you look the Dark Knight comics series Robin have a large place. Josheph gordon Levitt could play an affirmed Robin. It would fit perfectly with the faked death of batman and it would fit perfectly with the end of TDKR. I would like to see a more profond Robin a more affirmed Robin not just a side kick. In the retirement of Batman Robin could play a key role.

With the time Robin could become more a Nightwing figure than a Robin figure. Joseph Gordon Levitt can play a veteran Robin a more Nighwing figure. He could become a reference for viewers in the world of DC on screen.
