That video did the exact opposite of it's intention.

Hahaha indeed. I think that guy would make a good rampaging Bruce banner, who's not quite finished transforming into the hulk..:woot:

We want the detective, the man who has a plan for every possible situation, the Batman.

What we don't want is..well..a meathead.

Or a foreigner or a black guy.

Sure, or have Michael c hall as lex luthor. Also, I'd have Benedict cumberbach As the joker. He has the facial features for it so why not?

You pretty much know you have the wrong actor in mind if you can picture him as Both Batman, or Lex Luthor. I could see Hall as Lex, but Bruce Wayne? Not a chance.

I'm actually pretty curious to know the reasons as to how you see Hall in that role, and not Gosling.

Eric Bana have 44 and he have played Hulk in the past he was good in Hanna.

Or a foreigner or a black guy.

You've said that before. You do know that actors do accents right? So i don't really get the whole foreigner point. I'm not even gonna comment on the latter point that you made. Just silly.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, and presume he meant he'd like a Batman who lives in Gotham. *_*

Blah. Who am i kidding. Even i can't be that naive. What an incredibly narrow minded individual. I hadn't heard the word 'foreigner' for awhile.

Think his head would explode if my top-choice for the next Bond was cast (Idris Elba)

On the contrary, I think most of the good Batman candidates would make for good Luthor candidates. Hell, I think Christian Bale would've been a good Luthor candidate.

The two characters aren't that different on the acting front - They both need to project the suave, charming, rich guy persona on the outside, while being able to convey hidden depths and darkness, intelligence and intensity.

I think MOST good Batman candidates are also good Luthor candidates, but I don't necessarily think the reverse is so often true. There are some great Luthor candidates out there who are all wrong for Batman.

You know of they can get the true blood shooting schedule worked out way way in advance (and HBO's owned by the same company that owns WB) it kinda hit me today, that JOE M has a very very very good shot at playing batman

I mean even Snyder said he was his second pick to play superman behind Henry (and Henry and Joe have very different looks)

Interesting....

I wouldn't hate it. But the wild card is his look without the badass beard.

Now that he is super ripped and lean, one wonders what he looks under That beard.

And he isn't too old. I would love a seasoned batman like Hamm but joe m is 36 right?

I don't Know guys. Kinda works on paper right?

(Miles better than most TV stars)

Does Joe M have a twitter account? (Edit : he does. Tweeted him. Just a shot in the dark.)
HBO won't let him go. And honestly, its a thankless role on that show, the werewolf storyline is so disposable. The vampire storyline always gets precedence and involves all the big names, the werewolf storyline is just there a lame sub plot that doesn't much tie into anything. I think he's doomed.

But if asked for an audition, he can clean up. He looks somehwat like this.

He would tower over Cavil being 6'4

Plus Joe M is also bulkier than Cavil at his peak in Man of Steel.
Yeah, that's potentially problematic if they cast him. Men's Fitness did a list where they ranked the 50 fittest men/bodies and the two Superman candidates Manganiello and Cavill were the top 2 picks albeit Manganiello and Cavill were 1 and 2.

I wonder if its okay for Batman to be physically superior to Superman. They should probably be equals.

I'm sure he was suggested somewhere in the last ten pages, but just for the heck of it...how about Matt Bomer?

Ironically he voiced Superman in Superman: Unbound, so it'd be a fun twist if he ended up playing Batman. Saying he has a good look for Bruce Wayne is pretty much a given. He's got a bit of a cult following and is probably at the ideal level of fame for the next actor to don the cowl. A familiar face, yet under the radar for a lot of people.

A worthy contender, I'd say. He's 35, but I think that's a good age range to be casting in. You don't want the guy who follows Bale to look like a baby. That's one reason I can't fully get behind Armie Hammer.

Dude, Bomer would be awesome as Batman. He already has the women chasing playboy part down.

that's the easy part i dont think he can play batman tho

he has too much of a good guy vibe going on very clean cut i think the batman actor needs to have a certain darkness about them bale had that keaton had that i dont think he has it

Has Bomer been in any roles where's he's had to channel a darker character? I'm not too familiar with his work aside from some of the stuff he's done on suits.

Facially he looks a hell of a lot more "dark" or "sinister" than Armie Hammer who I dread will be in the running.

I have no idea what his acting is like, but he certainly looks the part. Even if he does look way too much like Henry Cavill.

Seriously, it would be like having Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel in the same film as characters who aren't meant to be related or something

I also agree he has a much darker and slightly more rugged look than Armie Hammer, who has pretty feminine features. I just can't see him being intimidating, at all.

Luke Evans and Matt Bomer are my current favorites. Coincidentally, one is gay and the other is rumored to be. I shudder at the thought of what some close-minded individuals might say if they were cast.

Hell, people had jokes just because Heath Ledger played a homosexual character in a movie. I was glad he shut all the naysayers up. Maybe one of the two men above could do the same.

both are very baby faced

I've never heard Bomer referred to as baby faced before? He's got pretty chiseled features, he just looks good for his age really? Armie however yes but it even goes beyond that really for why he wouldn't be suited for the role.
