how are they going to find an actor that looks as old, yet slightly older than cavill? they should just go for an unknown again. then cast a huge name as lex and whomever the other badguy is.

He's not my 1st choice obviously but Fassbender would kill it and anyway I could give two hoots if he's also playing Mags. This idea that you can't have more than one cb role is foolish imo.

Baldwin would MORE than have the brooding down pat. It wouldn't be hard to imagine him with a creepy voice. YOUNG Baldwin would have the charm for Wayne. I don't think he'd be able to do that aspect, now.

We need someone who looks like he can be a multimillionaire AND mostly a playboy!

He has to fight, but it shouldn't be too obvious for people to notice it!
Like: a playboy like Bruce Wayne can't be Batman. He spends so much time dating lots of girls he can't have time saving the world. Perfect secret identity!

And Batman does not have to be depressed. It's not a Nolan's film.

Anyway, when I see Neal (Matt Bomer) alone in a scene in WC, thinking about some problems, I totally buy it.
He looks sad, desperate and very alone.

I won't accept people to put him away because of his sexuality (I'm not even sure he's so gay, I'm sceptikal..)

(hay, have you ever thought about two persons playing Batman? One person playing Bruce, another one playing the Bat?
And have you ever noticed that anyway, everybody would look badass with a batman suit? whatever if they've got the muscles or not? The suit does everything! )

Exactly. As long as the schedules aren't conflicting, I see no reason that Fassbender can't have the role.

He is the perfect age, and he has a great facial structure.

Well, I honestly think Fassbender has more likeliness to happen than Urban(and certainly Brolin).

it doesn't matter. harrison ford played han solo while he was starting indiana jones(1981), and he had one more starwars movie after raiders, then he did temple of doom the year after jedi. that's the same as this. no one freaked out. probably tom selleck, but no one audience wise.

talking about movie schedules fox is putting out cbm like crazy

first class,wolverine,dofp,now x force

and magneto is very important part of that universe

exactly. people are dumb, but they're not that dumb that they won't understand it. no one over the age of 4 will say "why is magneto playing batman" and be serious about it.

neither of you would hear me complain believe me, but i just don't think it's gonna happen. he has worked with zack before so there is a sliver of hope.

The GA will at first be shocked by ANYONE other than Bale. That is a given.

Other than that, they REALLY don't care.

MOS is the second Superman film in the better part of 30 years. Yet there are quite a few people who say "Superman again?"

Make no mistake, WF would be much more well received than an individual reboot film, assuming it was good.

Some will be confused by the plot circumstances, but as soon as he ACTS completely different or references something out of continuity of Bale (such as Poison Ivy, IDK), people will genrally know.

But regardless, he won't be cast if there's a chance of scheduling conflicts so there's still no good reason for people to automatically dismiss the idea.

I wouldn't even say they'll be shocked. They'll see a trailer, or an interview, or read an article and 'Hey, new Batman'. It's not like they're going to buy a theater ticket, sit down, and have a coronary because Bale doesn't show.

edit: But I do agree that Fassbender's a long shot. I just reject the overall idea that a good actor can't play more than one CB role at a time.

no one will be shocked. it'll be a "another batman? is it not joseph gordon levitt?" i have a friend who said those exact words when i told him this movie is coming out.

after watching the mask of zorro, which did the batman beyond thing before it was cool, i can see it working, but would advise against it. bruce wayne will forever be batman. anyone else is just a placeholder.
